I always go back to her videos over the past 6-7 maybe even 8 years and she was always inspired me. And now to hear that she has came back brings a tear to my eye.
In my opinion, Tina S is the best guitarist I've ever heard. I've been really worried for the past 5 years, thinking all sorts of things (mostly bad) had happened to her. I will be so relieved when I actually see her play a new song on here so I know this isn't a hoax? (or a dream).
Me too. Based on the fact that she could play everything as well or better than the masters, I said she was the best. They could do their own, but could they play the others as Tina did? I seriously don't think so. I am curious as to whether she has continued to progress or has lost something. I cannot imagine she maintained the same level of perfection and intensity. You have to play for hours a day every day to do that. Possibly that is why she took a long hiatus. On the other hand, she may be composing her own, which would be better. Did Vivaldi play the violin at a master level? Was Mozart the most accomplish harpsicordist? We will never know. What will be eternal are their compositions.

I personally think this fame was too much for her to handle back then. I can't imagine being just 15/16 and getting all kinds of comments, good ("she's godsend"), bad ("she's fake"), even sexual... It takes a very special kind of person to be this young and be ok with this amount of fame. She certainly didn't stop loving metal and alternative music, she's also in a band... I think now she's in much more mature position to handle all of that. Maybe she got a university degree in something else than music in the meantime. I think in general she's a smart woman because this level of musicianship requires intense training and a lot of intelligence as well. I hope her new material will be amazing!

there is an indefinable something that only few musical artists can achieve. Many can play the notes, but only few can render a piece in such a way that it becomes magic. I just now listened to one of the popular female shredders playing comfortably numb. It wasn't bad, technically quite good actually, but within 30 seconds I knew there was something missing. In the links on the right they had the version by tina s, which I hadn't heard for probably a year or more - I listened to that again. There it is. The magic. She's got it. It is in everything she plays. I don't even like metal, never listen to it, but I have listened to most of the pieces by tina, because of the magic. I sincerely hope that you are right. There are many other talented guitarists out there, but tina is one of the few that has the magic. I would love to hear her play again.
The new song "What's wrong with me" by her band Spin me Twice is awesome. I had goosebumps on my first, second and third listen. Yes she's still got it.

The green guitar is what she named "the green meanie". Vigier took 9 months and LOTS of testing before they thought it was worthy if Tina S. Then they gave it to her for free.
I am very excited about this piece of news. I am sure she is an eve better player now (the little margin of improvement she may have had), but I am also convinced there's going to be a lot of people disappointed because she won't play what they would want her to. Most likely she will play what she really feels like instead of what is on every fan's head, she should expect that sort of criticism and hopefully ignore it. She made the concious decision to write simpler stuff. She wrote about that on her Facebook. She has done the virtuoso shredding stuff for years. It was time for a change. Also the songs are pretty good
