He had a deeper understanding than anybody about Malcolm's creativity, drive & power as the force behind AC/DC. After his death there was never any question of ending the band. I've always liked AC/DC and I've played guitar 30 plus years now. Of course Angus rips but I've always liked Malcolm, just simple, straight forward rock. I'll jam with buddies but never played in a band. Don't really have the time or the dedication but if I did I think being the rhythm guitarist and singing backing vocals would suit my fine. RIP Malcolm. Thanks for making your mark in rock n roll.

    bloody fantastic Malcolm was a very underrated guitarist Angus allways got the credit Malcom was the driving force of AC⚡DC he was a great guitarist in his own right and yes angus.is one of the very best guitarists of all time can't take that away from Angus a legendary band AC⚡DC is and allways will be some think that they metal and they are not and Angus and Malcolm would get pissed about that they are a hard rock band and I'm sure the rest of.the band did not like that comment ether anyway happy holidays and peace and love up the irons!!! maiden manic rock loud and proud!!!!🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺⚡⚡🤘🤘🤟🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🌟🌟🌟⭐✨✨

    I used to love disconnecting one speaker at a time from my stereo during this intro just so I could hear Malcolm and Angus' parts individually. And overlapped they were magic.

      I’ve always said Angus was the best blues player (not only in Aus) but held his own with the Blues greats!
      I’ve also wished (so much) that he’d do a sneaky album side project without anyone knowing!
      👍

    I’ve always said the first person I’d want in my dream band is Malcom on rhythm guitar with that metronome he had for a right hand. So tight and in the pocket, it’s ridiculous.

    100% from the Donnington DVD. It's a shame Mal's playing during the solo can't be isolated - but still, the rest of it is a testament to how consistent a player he was. He simply did not make mistakes.

      Nathan Bellows Well it's kinda hard to make a mistake in this song but, yeah love Malcom.

      Nathan this is not from donnington 100% the lead is wrong the tone is wrong. Listen to the delay on the guitar. Listen to the bends and the tone. If its Malcolm isolated why does he drop out for the lead

    • @coolio5171
      @coolio5171 4 года назад +3

      Actually, Malcom’s guitar can be isolated to an extent. Instead of thinking as a stereo track as 2 channels, think of it as 3. You have everything that is unique to the left channel, sounds that appear in both channels, and then everything that is unique to the right channel. Because Malcom’s Guitar is panned far left, it is possible to isolate his guitar by taking the left and right channels, then inverting the right channel and reducing the gain by -3db. Ouila, you have the isolated far left.

    • @bobpugliese4428
      @bobpugliese4428 4 года назад +1

      @@coolio5171 im not saying it couldnt be isolated. Im agreeing with you regarding to an extent. Here you have angus doing the intro say right malcom comes in later say left and isolated. If malcom is isolated left he would continue there with angus playing lead on the right. Malcom plays rhythm during the lead so nothing change s yet he drops out why?

      Bob Pugliese I read further down the comments that apparently Malcolm becomes a part of the vocal during the solo, and is therefore not included.
