I think an important thing to recognize here is that he's in Australia, and rather than attempt to modernize traditional playing he uses the instrument in completely unique ways. Even singing in Czech to an English speaking audience, then creating a soundscape of waves and windy dock sounds....? The guy is such an artist about how he sees the world and translates that through his performances. His perceptions and sharing have touched me deeper than any of the spiritual teachers that I've sought out. Maybe not thinking he's so special or spiritually influential is part of what allows his performances to be pure transmissions of higher consciousness.
He's just blowing air through a log with a hole in the middle, settle down mate.
The Well Spoken Bogan aren’t we all blowing air through a hollow log? I hear what you mean, but yeah... just air through a hollow log
Thank you Ondrej and Chad for bringing it!
Hey, late comer here - technically he is not blowing air down the didge, it’s creation of vibration which is amplified and resonates through the didge, air is minimal. Do you play?
I see an artisan first and foremost in Ondrej. His work doesn't age, just like Shozo's work. Both have the mastery of a craftsman absorbed in their craft, chipping diligently at it. It makes me think of Jiro Ono, the sushi chef. :)
The didge hypnotizes and reaches the primal within...a very sensual sound.
Ondrej, I loved hear you sing. It sounds as if you sing an icaro.... medicine songs.... thank you..
'WOW, it's all about the connection, this human Being connects, such a groove, such heart,
such soundscaping, celebrating diversity in devotion to unity. Thank you very big, embracing my inner buffoon'
as always very beautiful music Ondrej :-)
Best didgeridoo player in the world, hands down.
Completely incredible. Such awe
+Cathexis your picture is Beautiful..Marry me :)
The Digde sound is the sound of nature. It bolts us to our primal instincts.

Does anybody know what he sings in the first song? Is that Czech?
yes, it is Czech language, but more traditional czech, which was used many years ago, by our grandgrandgranparents.
The story is very lyrical and poetic, it is dialog between two lovers and about love itself.
I am sure, that I didn´t found correct words, but the sentences are something like:
"How are you doing, my dear (man)?" "And how are you doing my dear (woman)" "I am (or I am doing) like a little white birch, which is tottering (bowing down) on the field..."
"Love, dear love, where are you coming from? (From where can people bring you?), you don´t grow in the gardens, you are not sewed on the fields. " I am not sewed on the fields, I am born by myself (meant to be in active way, not in passive - I was born by somebody else), I am walking with (around) girls and boys." " Love, dear love, where are you coming from?"
I hope, it helped you. Have a nice day :)
IT IS A CZECH LANGUAGE AND HE IS USING SONGS FROM "HRADISTAN"....they do amazing music like this one "prayer for water" ruclips.net/video/yhbotOIZrAg/видео.html ... and yeas...Ondra is the best :O))) at least for me
sorry..,must correct...he is using a sentences from songs of Hradistan origin.... he most likely love it as I do :O)
what is the name of this track please ?
polowanie
wer spielt noch didge :)
It takes him 8 min of boredom to get started.
How dare they put a fucking commercial in this. Shame
To each their own & all that good stuff but this was like a Borat skit imo.
To see how long he could do nothing & keep the audience on edge.
I kept waiting for the performance to start & then it was over.
This reminds me of those headlines where the janitor threw away the top art exhibit because it was literally garbage on the floor.
Lol that's contemporary didge for ya
