Anyone who's ever owned log home will know what the maintenance is like! The sun kicks the shit out of the logs...I grew up in a log home and my dad was constantly working on it. I also would not pay 6.8 for that...the fish better come out of the lake cooked!

i've known 2 people who owned log homes and they were beautiful and so cozy..i loved to be in them BUT both owners sold them because of all the maintenance involved..every 5 yrs the logs had to be treated and sealed and any chinking had to be repaired, that doesn't sound so bad but unless you do it yourself it's VERY expensive, they also had to be sprayed so burrowing insects did not get into the logs..if you know the maintenance and are willing. you'll love it and have a nice life in them

One glance at that water and scenery and I knew it was Algonquin. My fave place where I travelled solo when living in Canada at weekends, heading north from Toronto. It is heaven on earth!

Unique pieces
The home and the surroundings are beautiful ! However, there are a few things I would change if I had the funds to do so. Last, someone will definitely be blessed to have such a place to call home.

Ahem.... One question or maybe two. Where do U get your water from.? Is it piped up to the house Secondly where does your electricity come from.? Lastly I can only presume you'll have septic tanks in the ground...To collect all the grey water and effluent.....? It looks like a pretty safe place...? Only the odd bear to worry about... And no stranger neighbours lurking around... how nice....Sorry just had to ask... Hah...Other than that it's a dream.
Water from the lake, could also be a well, electricity from the local power grid, with back up generator.

Is that a big white pizza oven in the kitchen? ...or is it something else. Does anyone know?
So if I'm not mistaken, its a custom oven, based off a traditional russian oven which has a large spot that people would sleep on. The over has airflow/pockets that flow underneath that part and can keep a family warm through the night, I think it would also help heat the entire place. Not sure if this is functional but everything in this property was custom or specifically chosen by the owner.
