Amazing video and a great channel! Thanks to the author! Longimanus was awesome! Marsa Alam is a paradise for underwater life lovers. And the Red Sea is the best and forever!
was in Marsa a few months ago. What a beautiful place! Your great video returned me back to Egypt in my memories. Unfortunately I did not see a sea cow but I was able to encounter a turtle two times. Thank you for the video once again. and I do not understand those people who disliked it!
I wish I would have researched Red Sea diving more. I took a trip to Dahab back in May 2018 and saw beautiful coral and marine life. What I really wanted to see was the bigger marine life and more soft coral reefs. I don't regret the trip, but I think Marsa Alam would've been more to my liking. Still a great trip and I made some new friends. You're footage is outstandiung, by the way. I really enjoyed it.
We were using a GoPro Hero. But I‘m not sure with which model this video was shot with. They are all pretty good, best of course the Hero 7. But even more important is to use a good torch.
Wow! Outstanding video, you did a magnificent job. Perhaps you can help me out with a question I have, these dives seem to be in areas where someone with an Open Water certification can dive (they appear to be more or less 20m max dives and negligible current) right? Are these dive sites located about 2km offshore? Except for the Longimanus shot which appear to be deeper open water...I know that diving Elphinstone reef requires much more experience.
Glad that you like the video. Yes, those dives are mainly housereef dives or dives along the shoreline around Marsa Alam and not deeper than 15-20m, so suitable for OWD. We indeed saw the Longimanus at Elphinstone reef, which normally is a more advanced dive site because of the strong currents and the fact that you have to go there by boat. I really can recommend Marsa Alam and the hotels around. The reefs are all beautiful!
We filmed with a GoPro Hero 4 and a Panasonic Lumix TZ41. The video is edited with Final Cut Pro X and I released the video out of Final Cut (HD 1080p, 59,94 fps).

Awesome video. I'm going to Marsa Alam later this year. Which dive site did you shoot the coral scene at 3:20?
