I haven't seen movies like this since I was a kid. This is what we thrived on in the 50's and 60's. Thank you for sharing this movie.
Trust me, they never stopped making these. Must be thousands here on RUclips...
Your reference to a time long ago ('50s and '60s) has an interesting correlation with your username (a fictional character who slept for about a century). 😂
This was made in 1967, so that makes sense 😉
I agree...love these types of movies. I grew up in the 50's and 60's too!!! This was a great movie, very entertaining and enjoyable. Thank you so very much for uploading and sharing. And the blonde girl attendant reminded me a bit of Kim Novak. Once again, wonderful movie and it didn't get bogged down with a lot of blah, blah, blah "filler"!! 😃🚀❤👍👌
Drive in baby maker movie
What a Great old British flick, absolutely loved it! 👍👍
If you’d told me that today I would stumble across an Amicus produced sci fi film directed by the great Freddie Francis I’d have said something quite rude in the honest belief that such a thing didn’t exist.
I’ve never been more happy to be wrong.
You just made my Christmas.
Tales From The Crypt was also an Amicus production.
Don't forget Michael Gough(Alfred from Batman) as the Master of the Moon.
Christ made mine🙂
This movie feels like The Avengers and The Saint visually, musically as well as overall production content. Superb print and Thank You for making this gem public.
The blurb says 1967. So it was around the same time.
I absolutely agree. I'm actually watching it now so only half way through.
But the camera work, music and especially the fact that our American hero is driving John Steed's vintage green car makes it look like the producers of The Avengers threw together a cheap made for television sci-fi C movie on their day off.
It's got so many elements straight from The Avengers except for the deliberate sense of camp and the knowing nod and a wink to the audience.
It's fun.
Although definitely a one time watch only.
"That was the style at the time."
A little bit of Doctor Who!
Ric Dale +
It does indeed, of course all that is missing is the alluring Mrs. Peel.
Overlooked and underrated. Love that lush & swingin' James Bond-esque title music. Thanks !
Very nice. Sort of combination of Forbidden Planet, James Bond and early Star Trek. I'm recommending this to a lot of people.
Another good one is Quatermass 2 - Enemy from Space.
What? You can’t honestly mention this film and Forbidden Planet in the same breath!
@@55Quirllyou cannot compare this comedy with Quatermass 2
Aliens arrive, immediately rob a bank.
Funniest comment so far.
Took over the manager by mind control and probably some staff and got a very large line of credit.
Cash is king especially in 1967.
Could happen.
@@chilliconn071 Now? No cash in the bank anymore; excuse is _cashless society_ to come sooner than expected.
Maybe they should have phoned home first
1 year later 2001 A Space Odyssey was released. The difference in ideas before 2001 and after. Truly a milestone in sci-fi movies.
yes and 2001 is a kids movie for sure..
Yet the movie 'Forbidden Planet' was the real revolutionary leader.
2001: A Space Odyssey - directed by Stanley Kubrick, budget $10.5 million.
They Came From Beyond Space - directed by Freddie Francis, budget probably
@@rmarcko Kenneth Kendall was in both movies

A gay gem I presume?

Too true could not have said it better myself But it was written by Milton Sobotsky of Peter Cushing Dalek invasion of the earth 20.....
No your quite right a true gem, well acted and great story.
@@paulforster2684 how can someone "b movies"? 😉
Another Classic from my Freshman High School days. Thanks for bringing back those wonderful memories of great times. 👍👍 10⭐
Still very watchable after all these years. Cheers for this Classic British movie, much appreciated.
That was better than watching Disney/Star Wars. At least it made sense and had cutting edge special effects.
They should retitled this movie to: They came from out of the toilet.
@Newsbender II How about Flash Gordon from the 40's?
Better music too.
This seems to be very closely aligned with the Quatermass series. I initially thought that this may have been Quatermass 3 (which was never made as far as I am aware) until I heard them calling the lead scientist Dr.Temple. It's got a very similar feel to the Quatermass series and could easily have been made as Quatermass 3. I'm a big fan of British Sci Fi from the 50's-70's Thanks for the great quality colour upload.
Quatermass 3 was released the same year this came out - "Quatermass and the Pit" released in the US as "Five Million Years to Earth"
Agreed, as movies go, it's not very good but if you like old sci fi movies, it's a different story. It's got a few good elements and has quite a bit of entertainment value. Thanks for the upload.
They came from out of the toilet to make this movie. 😂
As movies go.......this is very good!
It's like a Leftover Script from Doctor Who. Like something from the John Pertwee Era. The Hero even uses Karate against the Aliens.
Ok, this is bloody great, 1967 and a rare British Sci-Fi gem.......which I never saw b4....... Enjoying this very much.........
Don't let em get there rocks off on you !!!!!!!!
Clever!
Ever watch the series "Randall & Hopkirk (Deceased)"? I prefer the 1999 version over the 1969 one but both are on RUclips so check them out if you like this kind of stuff...
Two thumbs up! A real treat!
Just Wonderful. Thank you so much, liked and subscribed.
This so reminds me of early Dr Who episodes......I am in heaven! 👍🙃😎
Love this movie, old school sci-fi. Thanks.
I saw this film some time ago and still get a kick out of it. Gotta love the folks at Amicus and Freddie Francis at the helm.
Raises the question of how much is intentionally campy because these are intelligent English actors. . .elements of some early Bond films, and if you're a fellow "boomer," of a sixties series called Get Smart, or The Man from Uncle. Gotta love the space ship "launching pad". . .the jazz score and script signals light entertainment, which it is. Robert Hutton is a science genius and a superman the combo guys dream about, his love story could have been stretched out but wiser heads prevailed. The two hairy bare chested males, the "enforcers" look like they should make an ad selling beer. Entertaining for sure.
Gotta love & appreciate these older movies ❤ they just don’t make them like they used to anymore…
This was darned good! A unique story for a sci-fi film of this vintage.
This is the kind of science fiction I loved back in the early 60's
Como no se hablar inglés la he visto en versión original y aun asi he disfrutado con el cine de antes, que clase y sin tantos medios pero todos interpretan bien su papel.

Si, es una buena pelicula.
Soft Sci Fi at it's finest. Love it!
Pretty good! The car and music remind me of The Avengers with Peele and Steed.
I remember Mrs. Peeled drove a powder blue Lotus Elan and John Steed drove a Bentley. I don't remember if it was a blower or speed Bentley though.
An unusual ending made this all the more reason to watch it. Very good.
That was just way to much fun, loved it, thanks for the upload.
Doctor: Look you've just recovered from a serious accident and you have a metal plate in your skull. The slightest stress or physical exertion will kill you.
Curtis Temple: Hold My Beer!
Looks like Curtis was a bit of a ' cage fighter '.
"I am also in love with you"
I don't why I found that line delivery hilarious.
I was still at school when this was made, but this is the first time I have seen it. When will aliens give up trying to conquer us? They never win.
I would rather be conquered by aliens, than by the N.W.O.
@Newsbender II The theory, which rests on various claims about NASA, the UN and a so-called New Age religion with the Antichrist at its head, has made a resurgence in recent times. Check out the guy who started it and follow the money.
@@Tio_Loco You're safe there. The N.W.O. are a bunch of bozos.
@@Tio_Loco The difference being?
@@desperatelyseekingrealnews😂
It’s funny how the aliens have all the Brit’s good manners. And, they write in English. How cool is that. Thanks. I’ve been looking for this movie.
English is Universal - get with the program already.
English is the intergalactic language. Ask Captain Kirk.
Yes……I was half waiting for a plucky Brit to exchange fisty-cuffs with an alien and trill,
“…..Take that, you bug-eyed bounder….”
(Follows through with a stiff upper cut and 15 quick jabs to the ribs)*
I'm more amazed at how quickly that Land Rover SII stopped when the car pulled out in front of it. So corny I had to laugh.
in that particular intsance the alien minds invading the human hosts they retain all knowledge of its hosts including all their memories
why the alien in human form speaks in that inferior method however ... maybe its comes natural or is part of the invasion protocol since thy would imidiatly blow thier cover and likely apprehended and or institutionlized
another theory is that they seem to come from the moon so they likely had quite some time to observe the human nature there beforehand which would also explain how they know so much of aviable tech and other stuff aside from the personal knowledge of the hosts bodies so they where able to procure all the extra resources they have gathered on the landing site
so yeah in case i have to assume they speak english because it make the invading force be more unconspicious compared to a scenario where they would invade war of the worlds style
The Avengers meet Space 1999 and UFO. Plus a jazzy score.
When the prop department issues a spaghetti strainer for headgear, you know you’re in for a bad movie.
This is a gem.
@@flexyco according to @John Kean & me it's a gay gem, made of spaghetti, harvested from the "Flying Spaghetti Monster"
Never ,this movie is good, just like old James Bond stilish plot
Ool be thankful they took the handles off🤣
Personally, I prefer my tin foil hat. It kept me safe from Covid (mostly).
From Beyond, Space?? lol! Classic Great Fun!
I remember this film from somewhere in my distant past. The cylindrical elevators & their sound; & the "ray guns". It's a good movie!
This is one si-fi movie that is worth watching
The scene where Dr Temple goes back to the garage looking for the young blonde girl features an uncredited appearance by Kiwi Kingston, a wrestler from new Zealand whose only starring role was as the monster in "the evil of frankenstein"!
The cauliflower eared guy who restrained the main character in that scene, right?
@@abdul-kabiralegbe5660 yes that's him
@@sambrooks7862 Thanks.
Not the only guest from down south, I'm pretty sure the radio telescope at the beginning was actually Parkes.
How did Dave Prowse miss this Movie?
Atmosphere, Atmosphere, Atmosphere !!! I love these films. Dont think ive ever seen this one before. Love the lead actor, perfect for sci-fi stuff. He was great in Torture garden, playing an aging movie star whos body is actually robotic to make him last longer in movies. Really chilling stuff.
thank god they had the landing site already set up with lights. great start. loooovin it. thanks

Wow :) Kinda' sophisticated, this; feels like "Invasions of Body Snatchers, but more insidious! -

Also Quatermass 2/the puppet masters 1994/the bubble and invaders from mars
I love the pic you chose for the film..
Based on the book "The Gods Hate Kansas" by Joseph Millard.
Book 2: _Gods Ate Kansas_ 🤣 ... no?
Oh well, off now.
@@johnkean6852 -Book 3: Gods 8 - Kansas 2....Wolverhampton Wanderers, no score.
Weird that this was filmed in England.
So it was retitled GODS HATE SURREY
Should have been called Invasion of The Space Rocks.
When the doctor mentioned the plate in the guys head , I somehow knew he won't be affected . 😎
It WAS kind of obvious, or it wouldn't have been mentioned
🤣🤣
Tinfoil hat alert ....
Was it lead - only lead can stop penetrating radiation
@@johnkean6852 no in the film it was silver, that was why they melted the Dr's trophies down to make him a coliader to wear on his head.
60's hair style in the movie , 70's hair style on the poster! Definitely a lost gem.
Fantastic - Thanks for sharing this!
I expect to see Steed at any moment 😊
Yes, even the hero's car resembles Steed's.
Was waiting to see if John Steed and Mrs Peel arrived..very Avengers like.
4:10 Dalek equipment from the Dalek Invasion Of Earth. And various other Doctor Who episodes.
Wow! A1950s era sci-fi ma movie !
They only have ONE green land rover don't they. (Same mud splash pattern throughout.)
(It was owned by Mr & Mrs Roberts.) Lee was driving it before she was transformed into an alien.
They didn't have much change left out of £1m after building that underground rocket station.
Good job they didn't land today, they'd need trillions 😆

...shudda had a walk on part at the very least...
And then they should call UNIT and the Doctor
You guys are Creating a Better Movie than the one we just saw.
Really enjoyed this, took me back to the days of the New Avengers. Kept waiting for Steed and Mrs Peel to leap out.
Ahh a English science fiction movie for a change But you've got to have at least one American in it
One hindu actor among all brittish
Uh oh. I smell trouble in the audience.
Loved the titles. So colorful. 😊
Awesome🎉 thanks for sharing this movie👍
1967? Incredible. they crank out dribble like this, probably on a monthly basis, and a few miles down the road, Stanley Kubrick is flourishing a Masterpeice for the ages at the same time.
It's always a thrill when they colorize b &w movies.... 8ts great to see classics being watched. 😊😊😊
This movie has not been colorized, it was filmed in color
Millennials think if it's 20th Century films then must be colourised as we were so primitive. Colourising bw films is criminal & dangerous to our film history.
Colourised movies are unwatchable trash. The quality is so.poor it massively disrespects the original. This one though, was filmed in colour. The quality of the print is simply outstanding.
Wow, this is a pretty good movie. Well worth my time. Thank you.
LOL Michael Gough played the leader here, and was the newscaster in the original Quatermas Experiment. I bet he giggles a lot about that one.
a great old fashioned sci fi movie thanks for posting.
I like this movie, in fact this is the second time I've seen it. Yes, it's a long way from perfect, but it's a good story, quite gripping very redolent of its time, the 60s
Ha! So that's where the whole "Tin Hat" thing started! Good show old bean, good show!
Skeptics criticize my foil hat. I feel vindicated now!
😂😂😂😂
Very strange : an avenger episode without Steed...
Loved the Dust Circles left on the shelf after they melted the guys trophies down for his helmet. 😂👍🏴
17.00 this punch in the face was unexpected but a rather funny one👊
Many thanks, a classic example of 60s sci-fi kitch it's got a feel of the later Quatermass t.v series, halcyon days. PEACE AND LOVE TO EVERYONE ❤❤.
Pro Tip: If you are out in a field and hear a strange sound, it TOTALLY is aliens; especially if flying in a V shape (and don't hit the rock).
Excellent bad movie, I really enjoyed...Thanks for the upload...
Great movie
True classic
Brilliant storyline real pioneering stuff which hasn't aged much really when you really look at it.
Absolutely Stellar, I was 8,( I was ate) , back then , just subscribed .Fun channel to explore. Many Thank's.
Great story till it's last drop! The avengers crossed with The Invaders.
What an absolute gem 😍
This is cool 😎 thanks for the viewing time today
Gotta luv those women's hair styles back then. Lee's hair never changed.
Maan I thought that this movie was from 1980, but it´s much, much older. That´s incredible.
Not bad at all, this movie.
I would take this possession over what happened to poor Kane in Alien any day. You emerge from a psychedelic experience, speak the language and engage in nefarious affairs, welcome to the 60's.
WOW, WOW, That was EASY. Next stop #10,dounting street!!?? Love the British SI-FI. Very deep. There is a British scary show and this show is very creepy scary were people morph in to animals. Very interesting, some what dark. In an other show the people are all screwed up over this credit system that is very worrisome today.
And, how nice that a movie was thrown in between ads.
Use an add blocker, or the Brave browser. I haven't seen an ad for years !
If using the youtube app on Android, advance video to the end. Hit the arrow semi circle. Ads are exterminated.
I think the image does this movie a dis-service. Makes it look like a comedy.
Instead, it's a well thought out now 'period' movie which, in many respects, depicted what's going on now.
And, it's in high quality too.
Thoroughly enjoyed the romp - thanks for posting.
Over the years that I have watched si fi movies I don't remember this one
1:16:00 Yes, that really is Alfred the Butler from the Keaton/Clooney era batman films.
Cheese. But it's good, earnest English cheddar. Worth watching if you like English scifi from the 60s.
…..Then make sure you consume it Caerphilly, old bean.
this would be a great flick for '' mystery science fiction theater 3000 ''
an old favorite and a great copy too. So, 'Night Slaves' cribbed from this? Thanks for the watch!
That steel plate and the vintage car addiction came in handy.
"They Came from Beyond Space." Well, we finally know what lies beyond the boundaries of the Universe! This is so bad it defies all belief.
Excellent!!!!
Thank you for the video, I hadn't heard of it, interesting to watch these types of movies from the 60s. A little strange how it ended, more like a sitcom ending than a movie. And where did doctors train in the 1960's? This doctor was an expert in hand-to-hand combat, weapons and science / space travel.
They trained at the same place as Bond, James Bond. 😎
Oooo.. Jennifer Jayne, had a crush on her since she appeared in the William Tell TV series back in the 60s......................
For those who might be interested...
Luanshya Greer is the only cast member still alive.
Wow, good to know. Thanks.
Soo, just like Gilligan's Island???
Very Quatermass / Pertwee Doctor Who. I love it.
