    Great video. I would never have expected the rear seat base to be so hard to lift up. I would have been stuck at that point without your help. Turned out my connector to the motor was corroded, cleaned up, put back together and window is now working fine. Probably caused by water ingress.
    Many thanks for making such a clear instructional video.

    Kiitos! Worked perfect for me when replacing the temic module. Had no problem to do it myself. Used the big "sponge piece" to support the window mechanism in higher position while disconnecting the cable to motor.

    This saved me loads of p155ing about. Had 1 window that flat refused to do anything and the other only worked of middle switch. Repaired both in less than 2 hours including opening the units on motors. 1 had corrosion. Replaced with wire the other had a shorted smt cap. Just smashed it off. Epoxyed the motor connection cap on and whoooo hoooo... Cheers

    Took mine all apart, exactly as described here ( used a wide blade screwdriver under the three loops that keep the seat base down, one in middle one each side and gave a quick upward pull ) and reckoned it was the "Temic" module ( do a search there are refurbished ones available ). When I took off the module, I tested the motor with 12 volts onto the motor connectors where the module plugs in and the motor sprang to life ! Put it all back together and its working 100%. Might be worth a try !

    My rear window stop working so I took the rear passenger arm rest out it just pops out and it then revealed the motor and the regulator I then just sprayed the connection at the bottom of the regulator with wd 40 and wiggled it a little to let the wd 40 get in and my window is working again took me 5 minutes

    Any idea how to open the roof or rear windows manually??
    Both rear windows are not working at the moment, so i cant open the roof to fix them.
    Do you think if i open the side panel on the inside of the car and try to pull the window down the roof will open?
    Thanks

    hi there can anyone help got a Renault Megane CC 2004 the back floors are soaking not from roof think its the drainage but cant find them and thanks jani great help in taking back seats out as i need to lift the carpet to get the car dried out great video

    • @truthseeker4745
      @truthseeker4745 5 лет назад

      Hi Jennifer, I know it's a few years after your comment but I read somewhere on the forums that it's a common place on the cars to get water collecting. I had an issue with mine, I bought the car from an older gentleman and i dont think he had maintained the car well on the outside. I read that water would come in through the air vents at the front of the car, because the drainage holes located at the bottom of the windscreen were blocked with mud, debris like old leaves etc that had turned into a sludge like clay almost, I cleared it out and poured some boiling water through the holes and it seemed to unclog what may have been causing it to come into the car. Another problem I had was water coming in at the top pillars where the roof meets the windscreen side pillars. When you have the roof down, you can see there's a drainage hole going down from the top, down the side and the water is supposed to run down through the rubber and exits through the side of the front door, again, these had become clogged with old debris and I used a metal coat hanger that I had straightened out and put some tape over the sharp edges so it wouldn't damage the rubber and I pushed it through the hole all the way down and it unlogged a load of debris that had been stopping the water draining down and out and was causing it to eventually fill up and back up, spilling into the car through the seal when there was nowhere for it to go. Again, I poured hot water down the holes to clean and flush out any remaining stuff and it's been great ever since, I hope this helps yourself or anyone else reading with a similar situation.

    You can change the rear module without all this! You just need to use a screwdriver to ease out the arm rest /door cover and you can access the module and get it repaired for £20!

    • @iainjackson2638
      @iainjackson2638 9 лет назад

      So how do you take the small torx screw off the motor then? As what tends to go is the control box mounted on the motor. Symptoms are no operation, only 1 direction of switch or only working from center console switch. Follow instructions shown in video to get window out then repair or replace circuit board. Certain ally not £20 from Renault. :/

    • @anthonyspencer9
      @anthonyspencer9 9 лет назад +2

      Well one side I could undo the torx screw easily, the other side was trickier but the Mrs is left handed so she helped. You can get the black rear module repaired look on eBay, £20, I've done all 4. No complaints

      Sorted it. Took me less than 3 hours to remove both windows and repair the 2 units. 1 unit had a shorted capacitor to 0v, i just ripped it off, the other i had a corroded track i had to replace with a wire. Both my back windows now work of the switchs which they never have since i owned the car. I can do a right up on how to test if anyone is interested. Cheers ian

    • @MrKhakhaa
      @MrKhakhaa  10 лет назад +1

      Yeah, sorry about that. It's because I had my car radio playing some Inna's song on the background while recording this video and the song can barely be heard on the video. It says in my video properties that it's a copyright issue. That's why you can't watch it f.e. in Australia. I'll take a look if I still have the original video on my HD and if I can make small adjustments for the audio track to make the radio mute. -.-
