I’d like to say since I know quite a lot about both levels and am a mod in Linda’s streams that this is the most accurate video surrounding the level. Thank you so much for making this and here are some more things about the level. 1. The extension was made because a cl mod came into one of Linda’s streams and straight up told her that they wouldn’t place it for cps reasons (which is complete bs like bro its 2p ofc cps is gonna be high). She was a little crushed and didn’t care about the og level placing, so she basically just made the extension because she didn’t care that the level would place on the cl anymore. 2. The Origin of wShock: wShock first came into one of Linda’s streams as “Matthew Bryce.” He told us he made progress on the tew extension on 1.1x speed (both linda and i thought this was complete bs). Yeah, it turns out he wasn’t lying. He booted up a stream and showed us. I didn’t think much of it at first, but he was actually hitting all the orbs in noclip accuracy. I was shocked (lol) and couldn’t believe what I was watching. A few days later he beat the tew wr set by linda and later verified the level (i was there for both). It was a crazy experience that Linda and I talked about later on. Unfortunately, I have not really talked to wShock since other than a few times, but I can confidently say he is one of the best up and coming players. I have never seen anyone progress as fast as him and he is a great guy as far as I know. I guess we are here now haha. Wishing everyone the best and if Shock reads this, you didn’t discover kappapride >:3. 3. The Origin of Tax Evasion Wave: I’ll keep this brief because there is not as much to say. Linda made a level called “Shltty Tax Evasion Wave” or something like that. Afterwards though, Linda just kept buffing and buffing the level until it got to its current state. She got it decorated by Jasp, (really bad guy btw :o drama drama llama i dont want to get into it there’s a video on Linda’s channel if you want to know more). Anyways, that’s really it if anything. I may have missed something, but I’ll edit the comment when the replies tell me to. Tell me what I should add in the comments that’s it for now. :) I can answer lots of questions. Also, go support wShock and LegendsNeverDie. They totally deserve it and please sub to them. :D
The level really depends on what you are good at. You can have an aptitude for the wave game-mode, but suck at 2-players solo. Most players can't do such timings like in TEW with 2-player; for players like Linda who are exceptionally good at 2-player wave this level is definitely possible.

It’s gonna take time to change minds and this is just another step. 5:55 literally people just don’t understand how much difficulty you just don’t see when someone’s playing this level on a video for you lmao. I’ve started playing Acheron the entire first cube + first ship isn’t even remotely as hard as the first spam.

Really good video btw!! Also hate to be a debbie downer but even with the extension TEW is far from top 1, and would likely place outside the top 20 or even 30. Even acknowledging the fact that it’s a 2p challenge and requires high cps which are both less common skill sets it still wouldn’t come close to cracking the top 10. This isn’t to downplay the difficulty or anything it’s just to correct misconceptions since a lot of people like to overrate TEW while underrating the CL due to bias or just lack of knowledge.
finally someone who can admit that difficulty is subjective and that levels with different skill setts are not necessarily harder or easier than each other

i don’t think you’re giving the decision of calling it spam based enough thought, the reason it’s not able to be placed is because most of the difficulty comes from being able to reach high cps which is difficult to place and get opinions for (why there are gameplay standards in the first place). this is why the first 30% which is incredibly spam based and requires around 10cps with both hands (20cps basically) is by FAR the hardest part and why you barely see progress past the first 30%, and most progress after that is gained in wider increments because the difficulty significantly drops off. linda was also told multiple times that if the spam was significantly nerfed or removed that it wouldn’t be an issue anymore but they chose not to so they could preserve the original level (totally fine that was her choice). iirc that’s a big reason why tax evasion wave won’t place not to mention that it’s nowhere near as hard as linda made it seem because she refused to play levels actually on the list and give the list a better idea of how hard the lvl is
