    "Why eat rice for lunch?"
Because, RICE👏IS👏LIFE👏 😂 and if you eat a sandwich for lunch people will ask if you're on a diet😆
It's so cool that Jasmine tried everything and practically liked it all. She'll survive and enjoy Philippines 👍

pandan is a leaf you put on food that leaves very fragrant smell. you use it like you use vanilla except it's not extract but the leaf itself directly. usually taken out after cooking.

:) Tip: suman you don't have to unwrap it per se. You unfold the first end then you basically rip the wrapping in the middle apart until the suman sorta peeks out like a banana. Malagkit kasi sya ate. Mali pa ata english ko

K: “Here we’ve got Pandan cake. It’s actually from a leaf.”
    J: “That’s a leaf?!”
K: ”The taste of it is from leaves. Is that right? Yeah, I’m sure.”
    J: She hasn’t done her research. That’s just a cake from Sainsbury’s.
    ****died laughing 😂😂😂
I’ve been binge-watching your videos. I must say your videos are highly entertaining, brilliant content, informative and genuinely nice!
Oh and your convos, I suddenly miss London.

Ube and cassava are root crops but also vegetables because of their leaves...manny filipinos eat thier leaves as ginataang dahon ng kamoting kahoy which is cassava and diningding na talbos ng ube..

We Americans do eat yams on Thanksgiving, you're friend got it right. And that thing wrapped in leaf is called suman. At least it looks like suman. Suman is made out of rice cooked in coconut milk wrapped in banana leaves.

Since Philippines is an agricultural country, we make food products depending on what is abundant in certain provinces. Ube (purple yam) and cassava are root crops, "saba" a type of banana are very popular produce across the country. We commonly use banana leaves for most of Filipino dessert aside of being good in holding up the rice or cassava together. It gives that very nice taste and fragrance. There are a lot of signature Filipino dishes that Jasmine is yet to try. But it very nice that she liked most of what you have her tasted. British accent but very Filipino 😍

Size is not the only difference between shanghai and lumpia. Lumpia has mainly vegetable inside and it could be fresh lumpia or fried lumpia. On the other hand, shanghai has mainly grounded meat inside and just minimal vegetable. Another difference are the dip for each food. 😁
