honestly the recipes should be unlocked on every character you create. just because of how long it takes to unlock everything.

Since you can opt out of the hunts it feels like this may be a permanent reoccurring event, and since it gets so damn dark out I thought it might be tied to the phases of the moon.
Moon Phases (UTC)
April 2nd - Last Quarter & Start of First Hunt
April 8th - New Moon
April 15th - First Quarter & End of First Hunt (14 days)
April 24th - Full Moon
May 1st - Third Quarter & Start of Second Hunt
May 8th - New Moon
May 10th - Second Hunt Ends (10 days)
May 15th - First Quarter...
Hmmm... so far the hunts have both happened to start at the same day as the Moon's last quarter, the first lasted to the first quarter, the second will only go a few days past the new moon. If this is reoccurring event active only 7 to 10 days of a lunar cycle (~29 days) then missing out wouldn't be so bad, you could slowly farm fangs every month, work on the tavern and 24 hour decay timers in between, and then opt out if you were done, or it got annoying.
Next third quarter May 30th, then June 28th...
That's an interesting theory. Since it will return at least one more time in Chapter 4, we can see if your predictions match! They said it would be a recurring event, but let's see what happens after the Age of War. Great breakdown! 🌔

I had a lot of fun in the first passing of the hunt, and am glad to see it return. Great video for those that hadn't figured everything out yet. A couple of things related to the prizes I've found: The mushrooms are a little quirky and don't like to be placed on ground that is not flat. The cloak matches a lot of the more rustic armors well and also dyes really well. The warebear pet doesn't do a lot of damage but gains crazy HP as he levels, thus making him a reliable candidate for people that use the Flesh Bond perk.
Thank you! We would have loved to go into more details with the rewards, but since it's a quite long walkthrough already, we decided to just preview the items. Definitely good points raised, we also had a bit trouble with placing the mushrooms - and some prefer the Werehyena pet over the Bear, but probably it's also a "collectible" of some sorts, whether it's very good or not. I was able to speed up the tainted grand champion lure by putting it in the advanced compost box (not sure if it has to do with mods or not though)
Must be mod related as you said, as you can't even place the Lure or Horn into the Compost in the vanilla game. That was our first thought as well, but sadly no.
Collected 500+ fangs now waiting for the event return to complete just to get that regalia. 😮💨

Maybe I missed it, but event warpaint also applies to naked followers for some extra damage.

Thanks, yes, we mention it as @Nester622 pointed out. It's a very long guide and we wanted to keep it as "compact" as possible, but might be easy to miss if you skip through.

I can not interact with the Altar at the event hub at all. Even after following every step. Think its bugged, sucks
What server are you playing on? We had this issue initially as well, but found out a server restart (or restarting your single-player game) fixes it. If you are on an official server or a dedicated server over which you have no control, that's of course a problem.
so when i smash that door open, it blocked by rocks i cant break, any idea?
Hm, that's weird. Are you sure you are in the right place? Just tried to see if there are any other doors around that could look similar, but there's only that one. And the event is active on your server? That would be the only other thing I could think of.

For days now, I am unable to craft the Grand Champion Lure. I have all the items, the option doesn't show for me. The option to craft the Maladorious Grand Champion Lure does show. Funcom'd again. Waste of my time.
That sounds annoying. Just for sanity - although it doesn't really make any sense (but hey, you never know) - have you double-checked that you are not in Creative Mode or have UnlockAllRecipes enabled in Admin mode? As far as I remember, UnlockAllRecipes was remembered, even when not in admin mode currently. Also, and I'm sure you did - double-check if you learned Sanctification by talking to the Tongue of Jhebbal Sag (2. dialogue option). If none of this works, then it sounds like yet another bug.
Haven't been able to play in yhe last MONTH! Doesn't log in, just keeps playing the loading screen.
That's very frustrating. I guess you've already tried to troubleshoot everything you can? Like checking mods (if any), validating files, contacting support if so?

Waiting for the Pro to come out at the end of the year, BUT, what really sucks is ive already bought the Season Pass, and now i probably wont be able to earn those rewards. So, I bought it, and now im gonna have to buy them AGAIN!

So, this Master of the Hunt NPC is not there for me. Anyone else have this issue or know what to do? Alternatively, anyone know the NPC ID so I can spawn him in the admin menu?
Update: he was inside a rock. There's a big rock for some reason (probably old and a mod messed up its removal) in the camp, and he's inside the back of it, in case anyone else runs into this.
Haven't heard of that issue, but there's always something new. The Admin ID is Event_Gods_JS_Vendor, just make sure to not convert him and spawn as is. Just tested it and he sells all the stuff you need! Hope that helps!

I have a Playstation, I'm not leaving my console on for a day to decay the Malodorous Lure...
Oh, I wouldn't either. So you play in single-player? At least you have the option to make yourself admin and spawn the correct lure, or alternatively adjust the decay timers to speed things up. On official/dedicated it should decay if you are offline as well, but some encountered issues here as well - it was suggested to put the Lure into a chest instead of keeping it in your inventory.
@@Pixelcave I play on an official pvp server. I already tried putting the lure in a chest and in a thrall/animal but the timer doesn't budge.
Ok, yeah, that's crazy. Keep an eye on it, because we just had a similar comment yesterday and it started decaying the next day or so. Very frustrating all in all, I'd report it as a bug since it's a real progression stopper.

Bear follower has like 20-30k health its a decent pet
This event needs work. Costs too high/drops too few, 24 hours decay screws single player players, final boss located in multiplayer seige area screws single players, etc. This has potential, but some really poor decisions sadly didnt get changed over the event break.

It seems to require a server restart to work. Which is of course a problem when playing on officials or a dedicated server you have no control over. Verified on PC that the altar becomes functional after a server restart. Altar works also in single-player.

not so fun fact....... just logged into my siptha on official, and my Malodorous Lure didn't decay any while i was offline. i was away from it for 24hrs. ugh......
Hm, we presumed this had been fixed in the meantime (hahaha), but apparently it's still one of the Known Issues awaiting a fix. Suggested workaround from Funcom (unconfirmed) is to put the Lure into a Chest instead of keeping it in your inventory before logging off.
@Pixelcave it occurred to me to give that a try last night. Didn't work. It's kinda funny too, because I had no interest at all in doing this event. But, thought I would give it a try after watching your video. Typ. Funcom crap.
Ok, that's indeed bizarre. I'm surprised we haven't seen more complaints about this, maybe it's an issues that randomly affects players? So having the Lure in a Chest didn't work either... awesome. If you can be bothered (I somehow have the feeling you won't be 😉), it might be good to report it as bug in the official forums, as that's rather critical for a time limited event.

@Pixelcave I didn't end up reporting it on the forums. By the time I sat down to do it (that night), I checked it first & this time it had actually decayed the several hrs Iwas away. So, I let it be. I did look through the forum tho & it looked like I wasn't the only one with the issue.

Have you double checked with the event NPC if you are accidentally opted out? Seen some reports from others who said they needed to opt in first to get it to work.
What npc what that be? As I don't even see the event camp
It would be the Bloody Tongue of Jhebbal Sag NPC, but if you can't see the event hub, then of course something is wrong. You only mentioned the missing werehyenas, hence my suggestion. Best to report it on the official forums to see if anyone else has the same issue.

It’s first of May and I can’t find no sacred hunt

Needs to decay for 24 hours means I have to play for 24 hours straight in singleplayer? Good lord. Not doing that. I'll do the event but I'm just going to spawn in the horn after.
It was the case so far - hopefully they will change that in future. Once you got the Horn, it's a minor problem, but waiting 24h for the Lure is a bigger issue. If you are in single-player, you could also speed up the decay time in admin mode if you want to avoid spawning anything.
It was really odd that they removed this event. Why make it so the players have less things to do in Conan exiles. They should add things, not remove things to do
There was massive backlash from people getting ambushed by teleporting beasts at night. Especially roleplaying was broken up by it. Yes there's an opt out, but nobody reads the developer blog.
So Funcom once again broke something that didn't need fixing, once again forced people to opt in and once again began improving it only later.
So it was pulled since a lot of people hate this event.

Like guy below says. Hunt is pointless. Need enough people for a siege. Non these guides bother tell you that.
As with everything in game, how difficult something is depends always on your level/gear, but it can be solo-ed. Having others join you makes things easier of course.
not going to play this trash untill they undo the changes about UI and bugs they did in last update. I guess not going to play Exiles for an other year....
