When I made the switch to downscroll, it was hard at first since I wasn't used to the notes falling down instead of going up. It just took time and practice to get used to it
I used Down-scroll because it made ballistic chart easy, but it also it was harder to get sicks, I found out that white notes and 0 transparency with circles easy to get sicks. Plus, I got so much more score, 200k on ballistic.
This is pretty ironic. I usually use downscroll in games like Quaver and Osu!Mania but in Funky Friday I physically cannot play downscroll. It just feels so weird in that game and I have no clue why.

If you're used to upscroll, chances are you're garbage at downscroll. Your fingers are used to the upscroll patterns of songs, they'll mess up on the downscroll patterns and it'll take a bit to get used to it. It's basically becoming a noob again when switching from upscroll to downscroll or vice versa
Tbh, i played upscroll so much, that i could no longer improve even after hours and days of playing. The only thing that made me play better is switching to downscroll.
I used to play on upscroll with fnf and roblox fnf and was ok at it, then I noticed most really good players played with downscroll (woops, tokaku, sillyfangirl_osu, pghfilms, etc) so I tried downscroll for the first time about 9 months ago and of course struggled with it at first but I quickly got the hang of it and now I play way WAY better than I ever did with upscroll. If you really want to get better at fnf or any rythem game, give downscroll a actual fair shot, not just once and done but like for a few weeks at least, and if you really cant play downscroll after that, then that's fine. Play your upscroll or downscroll like the champ you are!
Im a downscroll reader but like i can adapt to upscroll easily like after 1 hour ( i mean i still do better with downscroll than upscroll) but i can read the simple pattern like ballstic and banned or reimu theme and easily full combo them without any problem (im still choking on termination hard with upscroll lol [would get about 2-9 misses] )

I have a challenge for you rk its something called a MSFC which i made myself Read this for rules!, you have to hit all the notes with the same the same time in miliseconds which can be possible through turning on the setting which says the time you hit a note! Please keep in mind it is going to take extreme accuracy to hit it! Rk keep this in mind for a HARD CHALLENGE to match your expert! 😄👌
