Wow! Blown away by God's goodness! He's answered my prayers about this guy, Brandon Heath, a precious servant of God Almighty! Seriously, not praising Brandon (an excellent artist), but lifting up the Name of Jesus in this song AND the entire album! You know how you'll hear a song by an artist & it just clicks? "Give Me Your Eyes" was that song for me. It was the song of my heart FOR YEARS! I'd catch myself humming the tune, singing it in the shower, wake up with it playing in my head, & I posted it on Facebook SO MANY times that my friends would make comments on it :). What a blessing! Then, for whatever reason, I began praying for Brandon, his family- I didn't know or "google" his family/career stuff b/c I felt not to. It wasn't about me KNOWING it was about God ministering. Anyway, I JUST heard "Enough" & I'm in the process of going through listening to every song now... I've ALSO recently began seeing a counselor. Not because I was falling apart, but I couldn't keep denying something wasn't what it should be... Sometimes revealing a possible weakness, especially when your "thinking" of expectations of yourself aren't God's... is scary... & quite daunting... God is SO good!! Brandon Heath, if you read my comment or not, THANK YOU for BLESSING US with your testimony!!! This album is anointed, brother! It's powerful & will minister powerfully! God knew, man! He knew! We're SO BLESSED that we live in a time like this! That He can use artist to publicly minister to ALL people, not just "In Church", but to BE the church reaching out in love to the lost, to the lonely, to the wounded, to the healing, to the forgotten, to the rejected, to the leaders, to the families, to open us up inside... it's enough.
What a beautiful and powerful song regarding our true identity in Christ and the comforting truth in how God the Father sees us in Him! Thank you Brandon for continuing to make edifying songs that brings honor to Christ! 😊🙏🕊📖👑
What a wonderful coincidence: I had a que set up and this vid immediately followed a vid about the difficulties autistics face in dealing with a neurotypical world. Neurotypicals often try to change or belittle us because we are not like them. "I'm Enough!!" I do know that without faith in the Lord Jesus Christ I would now be spending my "golden years" in federal penitentiary, a crack house or a morgue. Keep singing, Brandon and keep preaching the Good News that saves souls and changes lives. I'm so glad I heard and believed the Gospel way back when I was a kid. Jesus is a Rock in a weary land.
I get the point that this song is trying to make: that we shouldn’t focus on comparing ourselves to others and realize that God made us unique and special. BUT…I also find some of the lyrics and implications of the meaning troubling. Is “I am enough already” the best response a Christian should have to feelings of low self esteem? Who does that language really exalt? God? Or self? Further, how is this mentality any different from what Oprah or any secular life coach type person has to offer? And if an unbeliever struggling with these things heard this song, would it cause them to come to Christ, or would it cause them to put themselves on a pedestal? Or even worse, come to a false Jesus that says you’re great (enough) the way you are and don’t need to change? (Which is contrary to the Bible which tells us we are sinful wretches in need of repentance)
I like that he's trying to spread the Gospel, but we must remember that we have sinned against GOD, and HIS wrath was upon us. That is, until Jesus Christ took the punishment upon Himself, which is why just before He died on the Cross, He said, "It is Finished" meaning that the debt for sin had been paid, and afterward Jesus was seen by thousands as resurrected. Repent and trust in Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins. Your sould depends on it, so please consider this.
Is it just me or do Brandens songs keeping getting better and better?🔥
Thank you Abba Father, my identity and worth is in you!, You love as I am, and I love you! I bless Your name 4ever!
If God our witness is for us, who can be against us?? I love this song!!!
