About the only thing I agree with Hazel is that when you meet the one you just know (as long as tou aren't a delusional stalker). My husband and I knew after our first date that we wanted to spend our lives with each other. We married 4 months after our first date and everyone told us we were crazy and were making a mistake. Well, we just celebrated our 30th anniversary February 2024.

Getting married 4 months after the first meeting and still being together 30yrs later is wonderful, and congratulations, but this type of story is definitely an exception, not a rule.

I met my husband and married him 2 1/2 months later. We had two kids and got divorced after 21 years due to his chronic cheating and misogynistic, abusive, and narcissistic ways. He still claims he never cheated but an STD when I was 7 months pregnant says different. He tried to rewrite a LOT of our history to make himself look better. He married his last mistress who is a chronically cheating narcissist herself. They both treat each other the way he treated me while getting on social media and saying how in love they are and how much they respect each other. It's all about the narcissist's mask. They feel the need to have the public think they are a "salt of the earth" person while they're an absolute monster at home. I'm so glad that your marriage worked out for you. I love seeing love work out for other people even though it has never worked out for me. I hope you have many many more years of happiness.
