      Am i alone in the feeling they know more than they are telling us? Its like they give us precisely enough information to formulate our own conclusions. Interestingly enough, that is the exact way a psi-op is presented. if i didn't know better, id feel like they give us info fully knowing we will come to the conclusions they have prewritten. IRREGARDLESS I dig the show thanks for the entertainment guys. Stay Humble...

    Dear AJ. In 7 episodes of basement you are already beating all my favs. JRE, Shawn Ryan, Dany Jones and his pal, Area51 Chris the magician, Jesse Michels American Alchemy... all of them. Your ability to keep your cool during those 2-4 hour conversations and simply let your guests speak is exactly what JRE used to be at its best.
    What really stands out is how genuinely you seem to enjoy the time with your guests. You’re not trying to interrogate them or steer the conversation in some predetermined direction-you just let it flow. And the guests you’ve been bringing on from the very beginning? These are the people who should’ve been on JRE years ago.
    Keep doing what you’re doing. It’s working.💯

      If I was to make a guess, one excuse they are using is “Nuisance Streamers”.
      For the Olds here, a recent live-streaming trend that’s been getting attention over the past couple years has been Streamers who basically go to tourist spots and cause a ruckus. This can range from just being rude to outright illegal crimes. Look up Johnny Someli or Vitaly if you want examples.
      Where I’m going with this is I can absolutely see a streamer going down to these tunnels and damaging the site for clicks, thus ruining it for everybody. It might not happen that often but that would be a great excuse.

    • @JerseyTrend
      @JerseyTrend Month ago

      @kelvinrodriguez284 It's really sad that people will believe this BS. It demonstrates a lack of methodical & empirical research or the willingness to become properly educated or suffer the academic labor of such. I've reviewed the silly theories proffered by this Hugh Newman character and can see plainly his childish meanderings. He is not taken seriously in intellectual or academic circles because his math is senseless, like a paranoid delusional's conspiratorial ascension into self-aggrandizing feats of imaginary genius. Drawing straight lines and making triangles doesn't make you a genius or prove a truth or fact, it is a strong indication of mental disorder, using ink instead of red thread to draw connections that don't exist. None of his numbers or made-up measurements have any relevance whatsoever where he applies them. His insistence that these early civilizations used hallucinogens is unproven. For example, where are the mushroom spores at Gobekli Tepe? When a forensic archeologist finds & dates plant spores, it is at that point they can safely say this plant was in the area. Newman doesn't prove or even suggest such hallucinogenic mushroom spores were discovered at this ancient site. Yet he wants you to believe these ancient people consumed these mushrooms - without proof or indication of any kind - and it was getting high on these that inspired the carving of weird animals on the columns of their structures. Artists don't need drugs to be creative, but non-creatives do to feel creative and artistic. Children in kindergarten don't eat magic mushrooms to draw weirdly shaped dogs and cats or people, they just pick up a crayon, aim and begin drawing without shame or fear of being judged. A goofy looking lizard that resembles a dog with short legs and bad teeth is not a sacred vision induced by chemical derangement; it is just childish interpretations of the things they see in the world without benefit of proper artistic training in realism and perspective. Believing silly men like this whose real objective is to defy the religious beliefs of their youth in search of a 'new mythology' is problematic because they offer no spiritual solace and suffer anguish and anxiety because of it. Their willingness to lead others into anguish and spiritual confusion with them is the real crime here. Oh, and don't forget the aliens. They obsess about those too. Lots of aliens and spaceships the evil government is hiding from us. In fact, they believe the government is organized enough to be considered an entity at all, therefore replacing the devil himself, and that they are the Saviors, the Jesus figures who will save humanity. They are the 'chosen ones', an age-old trope. Don't be fooled by them. They are masterless and directionless men looking to create new cults for themselves via mutual agreement between each other. If they can get you and others to follow, they will at long last prove they are worthy, right, and "cool". Sad as hell, man.

    When I was a kid, about 10yo, I was snorkeling in a lake in GA USA and found what we thought was a Paleolithic scraper. I knew what it was from finding native artifacts near my home in PA USA. It had worked flaked edges and was obviously a cutting/scraping tool. I gave the scraper to my father who put it in his pocket. He went swimming in the lake and forgot it was in his pocket... lost it. Our family has found thousands of native artifacts over the years on family farm land etc. Now most of those aren't nearly as old, but it's still amazing to find. My grandfather and father had found multiple mounds over the years with grave sites, tooled artifacts, ceremonial artifacts, and even...possibly giants. They contacted the Smithsonian in 1960s-70s who took the artifacts and they never heard from them again. My father was in the local paper for it. When they wrote the Smithsonian about the artifacts they were told they couldn't be located.

      Entire careers would be turned upside down if they admit humans were capable of feats they claim weren't available thousands of years previously. I personally think humans have had a high civilization in the past, and either self imposed or natural (asteroid/climate) got destroyed. When you look at the geological record, modern humans were around for hundred thousand years, but did nothing until the last 3000-4000? Im not buying it. I've seen what nature can do after a couple of months undisturbed during the lockdowns. I've been to ruins that were barely there, but only a hundred years old. Imagine what would be left after 10000 or more years unprotected. Iron/steel would turn to rust, plastics gone, even radiation would be background radiation. Civilizations could have risen and fallen several times geologically
