Squeaky Haughton Traction Elevator, Pittsburgh PA (Cab Retake)

A small but fast vintage elevator from Haughton. This is a cab retake of the machine room video I did of this elevator where I unfortunately filmed vertical.
This is the Haughton elevator I clean weekly. I clean the entire cab and the hall buttons on each floor making it look brand new. The 2 products I use are "Claire Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish (Oil based)" and "Claire multi-surface Furniture Polish". I HEAVILY recommend the "Claire Stainless Steel Cleaner and Polish" for elevators! I've experimented before with other stainless steel cleaners but absolutely nothing has ever came close to Claire's. From the permit number it seems this elevator was installed in 1949 and modded by Otis because of the vintage looking floor lanterns and the floor display being similar to their design, sometime ago it seems this was once a manual moving elevator because of the drop-key holes for a birdcage door still being present by being painted over outside in the hallways next to the current doors.

I wish I could replace the machine room video with a re-edited version using this footage instead of having this video posted but i do not have that RUclips feature. This is also footage of the elevator cab cleaned by me. "For the 15 years I have worked here I have never seen this elevator so spotless!" -Head custodian

The mod. I think was done by Millar/Schindler, although it was just the fixtures (hall stations & COP). You did a GREAT job with cleaning!

Thanks for the comment and the info, it's a very fascinating elevator. Any info about it I appreciate a lot since I work with it daily. It will soon be modded again (cab and the machine room), I made sure the building owner and the mechanic know to give me the old parts
