    I have this washing machine and was looking to see if the clear plastic ring around the outside of the door could be removed. Lots grim and crap has found it's way inside. I found this video and it was excellent. Thank you for taking the time to make this 😊

    Owen, in my world I would tape the sensors in the door closed position. Then before refitting the door front, see if the machine starts to work. If that's the case, cut some thick perspex or aluminium and seal the hole in the glass with that. Be very useful to see if this approach works, cheers

    hello! The small secondary door in my machine is stuck from one side. I see in the video that there are two locks for the small door. When I try to open the door, only the left lock comes undone, and the door remains stuck. Any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks!

      I would just leave the small door locked, it is nonsense anyway! the big door will open if the small one will!

    Yeah I'd say the door in door is kind of a gimmick though I do use it often so perhaps not .
    I'd say the intention is that when you take a load you may drop socks and small things I know I do, and you discover them after you have started the machine often ,in my case halfway up the stairs ,when you pause it I discovered that both the mini door and the large main door open this is handy for large things, I'm not sure of this is it's intended use, I've not seen the large door opening during the pause of the machine featured in the manual so perhaps not )I use the little one for socks and pants any small things though (and this is where I feel the little door could be a gimmick )the machine uses very little water so the little door isnt necessary really ,I open the large one and water never comes out it's simply doesnt fill up that much ,even when full ,the displacement doesnt make the water go higher than the seal.

    Do those Samsungs have a sealed drum? I like them. Apparently they’re great cleaning machines. The door in door is a gimmick though. Wonder how many of them get scrapped because of this fault?

      AFAIK, Samsung uses splittable tubs only.

      @@voshin in Vietnam where is my country i'm from, over 90% front load washers (not only Samsung and LG but also Electrolux*, Panasonic, Aqua/Haier, etc) always use split tub which is nice since most people hate the anti-repair system by using sealed tub which makes the machine impossible to repair as well as you cannot replace bearing or spider, also you cannot recycle them like split tub be
      *talking about Electrolux in my country they still use split tub even on their newest models, unlike the European ones

    Hey Boot, wanna ask you when you open the frame for the main door, where you start to clip out first? Because the door sensor for addwash broke and I plan to replace myself. Cost to fix without warranty is 182.91USD and I say its a rippoff sicne the part dont even go over 13.57USD. Told me to replace the whole door

      You will have to scrutinise the video. I think there is a cover that slides off to reveal screws.
      I made a subsequent video of reassembly and the last part of that is probably your first step. Glad you are going to repair it.

    Samsung make you work extra hard 😓 for door the repair 🧑‍🔧 so I can see why they don’t bother doing that repair 😊 and give a new machine instead 😮 Why is it designed so complicated 😅

    • @huuhoangmanh685
      @huuhoangmanh685 Год назад +1

      it is because people want to put forgotten item to machine easier without suds/water leaking like when you open entire door. however for me addwash is still extremely pointless, thanks god i didn't buy the one with addwash door, i have used AI model 10kg for 8 months which its main door doesn't even have both addwash door and doorshield, i just don't like samsung making entry-level/mainstream ones having very light on its weight, making them more vibrations and shaking too much like mine, only 67kg of net weight

      Thanks for the video.. I’m having the exact same issue with the add wash door and is looking for some simple fix to it… judging from your videos it’s quite a challenge .. either I attempt his or fork out for a beand new door as per samsung … the new door is about 1/4 of a new machine price 😢
