Ngl I would have loved a what if story of Mr. Satan actually being the world's savior, still being nervous and everything but finding out maybe during the Cell fiasco that he can turn Super Saiyan and fights Cell and maybe hits the final blow on him and he just shows up doing random stuff and still being realky weak but now strong enough to actually incidently or accidentally hit the final shot on someone.
This reminds me of a fanfic called "tough to swallow" where, due to a comedy of errors after the buu saga, Mr. Satan's attempts to buy off Goku from revealing the truth of everything, and Goku's innocent attempts to train Mr. Satan in the Turtle School leads to the paparazzi thinking Mr. Satan and Goku are lovers, leading to even more hijinks and chaos. This little bit without context is what moves the whole story forward... “I’m sorry about the bed,” Goku said simply. “But I’m sick of all the excuses. Either you want it or you don’t. Just a few weeks back you were on your knees, begging me, and it really seemed like you wanted it. I can help you. It’ll be hard. It’ll take time. But it’ll be worth it, and you’ll thank me later.
