Schools. } My Aunt ,Uncle, & cousins, Lived right down the street from the Robinson bros, I didn't even know they were WAY into Music, ( IT saved my life ) I can tell you Sooo many stories. Espically Chris. He was a natural comedian ! & Allways tried to start a fight W/ me ! ( Never happened ) My Dad kept moving, So ... The only glue to that neighborhood was the SOLID family I allready mentioned. Fast forward a few decades, The first time I heard them on the radio , I. KNEW it was them ! I started Gigging/ Recording touring. Well we ended up playing some Outdoor show, & They boath remembered me !! But 72 ?? OK... That's REALLY Early for them. They were the first guys I knew to "Make it" Things in the industry are Sooo different now. BTW, This sounds GREAT !!

    I like it. That said, making a record like this with its throw-back lo-fi rock n roll sound just doesn't sound right when recorded digitally. There's no NOISE! And noise is where all the magic happens. You can say this for most other recordings, but especially so with this genre of music.
    Go back to a huge old Neve console and 2" tape and have at it. That's rock n roll!

    The Black Crowes son una de mis bandas preferidas pero este regreso tiene un sabor agridulce para mí. A pesar de celebrar esta vuelta de la banda los noto sin fuerzas y con poca inspiración. Si tuvieron que pasar 13 años desde su último disco de estudio con canciones originales para volver con un EP de covers y además dejando afuera a miembros históricos como Marc Ford o Steve Gorman es que algo no marcha demasiado bien. Por otra parte, a mi gusto las versiones de este EP no le hacen justicia a las originales. Me suena a regreso forzado. Ojalá este sea el precalentamiento para el nuevo discazo de los Crowes que todos estamos esperando.

    • @adriancanedo7500
      @adriancanedo7500 2 года назад

      Opino en parte como vos, pero los miembros como Marc Ford o Steve Gorman no están en el proyecto por deferentes temas, y con respecto al EP con covers, me parece justamente eso...se juntaron para ver que pasa en la sala, y uno (que tuvo banda) sabe que lo mas común es meter covers para ver como suena la banda, en este caso lo editaron, y para mi es buenísimo. ojo, espero que esto sea el principio de nuevas canciones y (ojala) un nuevo disco. me dolería que ahora pasaran 7 años mas. ahí si, te daría toda la razón. sobre las versiones....no tiene porque se muy distintas o iguales...asi y todo para mi suenan muy a lo Black Crowes.
