Sounds pretty good and the songs most definitely fit into the Crowes style. Hard to believe that Steve Gorman is no longer around. He seemed to be an important part of their sound.
@@Corpus_Callosum so because they're not from the place the music originated they had no right to play the style of music they really enjoyed ? That's what you're saying, to me that sounds a little insane 🤷♂️

Love the Black Crowes since the beginning. I always think they were a kind of symbiosis between Led Zep and Otis Redding. Happy to hear them in 2022. Rock'n'roll will never die. Next: 1973 ?😉
They kick the arse out of Moonage Daydream , Bowie & Ronson must be smiling somewhere . Also thought “Papa “was one of those untouchable tracks but the Crowes do it absolute justice. Great cover of "Papa Was A Rollin' Stone". It sounds like it would've if a band had covered it in 1972. Can't wait to hear some originals by the Crowes.

I like it. That said, making a record like this with its throw-back lo-fi rock n roll sound just doesn't sound right when recorded digitally. There's no NOISE! And noise is where all the magic happens. You can say this for most other recordings, but especially so with this genre of music. Go back to a huge old Neve console and 2" tape and have at it. That's rock n roll!
Ahhh, I still love my LPs, but I'd rather have some actual dynamics as opposed to moments like the "Turn it up" on 'Sweet Home Alabama' when instead you can hear the AM radio compression kick in.
Oh and I nearly forgot their cover of “Oh Sweet Nothin” which I dare to say is better than the original ! I’ll put my Tim hat on and wait to get roasted for that 😂
The Black Crowes were never that great of a band in the first place, so why they think anyone would enjoy what they've been cranking out in the past few years is somewhat unbelievable to me.
Me suena a regreso forzado.
This is so hard to watch. The Crowes used to be untouchable, now the brothers Robinson have become a covers band with sidemen on the payroll. No Steve Gorman, Johnny Colt, Marc Ford or Ed Harsch (R.I.P). Oh how the mighty have fallen... 😥
@@erikjromano no hate here, just sadness. I've been a fan of the band since '89 and have seen them play live a number of times. The Stones ripped off southern American blues. The Black Crowes (from the American south) are in pure musical form. That's their native sound.
