Clearly don’t watch any dirt racing because Chase clearly confirmed it in an interview at the dirt track racing his sprint car. He sad Christopher called him and said he F-Ed up and was sorry. Chase had no internet or sms data at the track so he had no idea what was going on.

How did he jump over the ladder? He has been a playoff driver for a while, and has wins, no controversy and has leadership qualities. Id say he was overdue for a better ride compared to some people sitting in those better rides.

I'm banging my head against Ford right now. We lost Zane Smith, Ford's top prospect yet, lost a great veteran driver of Michael Mcdowell, and now we lost another prospect of Chase Briscoe. Like can Ford actually learn to stop losing great prospects and great drivers? Good lord.

Lol I saw this and just loved it, the look on his face when he realized he slipped up is PRICELESS.

Ya that’s problematic. He was racing the sprint when Christopher leaked the info. He had no idea it was leaked because of the rural location of the track until Bell called him.

I’m a very very new fan to Nascar (this week is my 7th race watching lol) I didn’t know what to think of Briscoe, then I saw the video of him winning in Xfinity the week he and his wife lost a newborn and of course he was beyond emotional and it was a touching moment. I hope JGR loads his pockets up, seems like such a good guy.
If Harvick not winning in an SHR car is your litmus for equipment quality, Preece deserves the benefit of the doubt as well.

Preece really hasn’t shown flashes of possible success. The other 3 have with lack of good cars.
@@smalls3187 You can pencil them all in for 15th-30th every weekend. Preece has run up front at both plate tracks and short tracks several times and taken out due to mechanical failure or wreck.

Great move for both parties , I like a lot about Briscoe , he drives the wheels of that Ford every week, and he is not wrecking , comes from grass roots racing, he didnt have a grandad, owning a team he has fought his way into nascar. Literally knocking on Doors sweeping the floors, sleeping in the garage and couches, this is what Nascar is about . Everyone has a chance if you have the talent and the HUNGER, Delighted for Chase.

Chase spoke about it on a Frontstretch video.
FrontStretch posted a video last night, where they interviewed Briscoe and he confirmed he didn't know if "Tony called coach, or coach called Tony, but I'm glad it all worked out". Also.. Bell couldn't fake turning so red so fast. If you watch the clip of the interview back, you can see the shade of red on his face change in seconds after he realizes he just leaked the name. I think it was a genuine mistake. haha

I knew Chase was a candidate to replace Truex in the 19 car at JGR, but I still wasn't fully sold on it happening. But thanks to Christopher Bell, I am now haha 😂
But in all seriousness, I feel bad for him. You can tell in the clip that he didn't want to mention Briscoe coming to the team, it just slipped out accidentally. And he obviously was really embarrassed afterward by how red his face got too.

It's been known for a few weeks now that Briscoe was getting that ride, so Bell's slip of the tongue was not really any earth shattering news.

I’m exited to see what chase bristle can do in that equipment I think they’ll take maybe half the season to figure things out but then after he will start winning races and maybe in later years he can contend for championships

I believe Cole Custer will get the cup ride. He is the owners son. That's how a lot of teams are now. Is a guy invested in the sport put their son behind the wheel regarded if they are ready. But I agree with Eric. I think Cole Custer has shown he belongs in a cup car. I mean, he has talent and can drive race cars. He showed it last year when he got demoted to Xfinity, and then that same year goes out and wins the Xfinity series championship and seems to be backing it up right now by leading the points standings. I think he deserves a good competitive cup ride. I just feel like Haas Factory Team is going to struggle and never get any better

I’m really surprised and disappointed that Ford didn’t make keeping Chase a priority.
He hasn't been under contract with Ford in some time and They don't have anything just as good or better than Jgr for chase
Chase Briscoe has grown on me over the past few seasons. I can easily see him winning and being a championship contender in a top performing ride like a Joe Gibbs #19. It may take time for adjusting to a new team/manufacturer, but I have confidence in him! Glad to see him finally get a top opportunity in Cup.

I think because of this ford will be trying there best to keep Gragson and Berry. I could see Noah going to FRM and Bass Pro could honestly be his primary sponsor the whole season with Truex leaving.
That would make sense because I believe Mahindra will follow Chase

It was actually Christopher who called Chase. Chase was out racing real cars at real dirt tracks and had no internet or SMS data. Had no idea it was even leaked until Bell called him. No idea it was a big deal until he started getting asked about it at the track.

This is a style of marketing. Marvel was great at it. Between Tom Holland and Mark Ruffalo, they got tons of press/internet coverage by “leaking” things.
Last year Joe Gibbs at a football game while being filmed, “mentioned” Aric Almirola as their new driver for the next year. Blew up nascar internet.
Same thing here. Probably since sponsor isn’t set yet, this is a way to announce it and let it go viral. Then JGR can show the uptick in coverage to potential sponsors.
Holding on to mahindra could be easier if the possibly combined ty Gibbs and they can continue commercials, also both being talented helps
