Gonna see ya in Nashville! First time I saw Devo on tv, 1980 and I was 11, I fell to my knees and watched completely captivated. I cannot wait!!
I caught Devo on tour in November. Now I'm looking forward to seeing DOVE on tour.

Always nice to see Smooth Noodel Maps get some love despite it being awkwardly received. I do like that album alot despite what critics and some fans may even feel about it it still DEVO!
It has always been my assertion that even a "crappy" Devo album is leagues ahead of 80% of the drivel found on radio.
If there's anything I didn't care for with "Smooth Noodle Maps" was the excessive use of audio compression, a trend they continued with for the following releases. I also think that's what killed the vibe when they did "Are You Experienced?". It didn't allow the song to "breathe".

Most underrated album ever. I love it! Paid a huge premium to re purchase it. Well worth it.
@@JeanneStarkey I just spent a small fortune buying the 50th. Anniversary 4-album vinyl set and the two CD pack early Devo recordings. Having to pay for things in Canadian dollars hurts, as does import fees and shipping costs. But I'm tired on missing out on shit, so my attitude is a bit more YOLO. 😎😉

Now if only Total Devo & Smooth Noodle Maps could be re-issued. They're the only 2 DEVO albums that no songs show up on Shazam. I use Shazam to look up every song I listen to as to try to inflate the listening numbers bit by bit, and those 2 albums always come up blank sadly. The world needs DEVO!
Total Devo has a 2XLP re-issue from 2018.
DEVO gets no respect from the mainstream media except for Whip It. They have so many better songs that get overlooked constantly.
DEVOloution is definitely real in the record industry. Taylor Swift’s dominance proves that. 🎸

In the post-post-modern era, nobody cares how words are spelt.
I noticed the same thing. It had me thinking I've heard it wrong all these years. But "I'd said out the window" makes no sense that I can discern.
It is 100% "I'd sail out the window." It's even on the lyrics sheet in the original CD.
I may be 58 years old now! - And I CAN'T dance to DEVO the way I did when I was 15 with blue hair in 1982 LIVE in Columbus, Ohio!
