Is it possible to create parametric lamps with VisualARQ and export them to Revit with the associated ies files? I need to create BIM street lamps and I want to create them directly in Rhinoceros.
Hi Gabriele, yes that's possible! There's already a parametric "Floor Lamp" (as an "Element" object style) included in VisualARQ templates. That's an object created as a "Grasshopper style", which means that has been created from a Grasshopper definition. All parameters in the Grasshopper file used to create that object are stored as properties in the object, and exported to IFC. In addition, you can add custom data to that object, with the "custom parameters" feature, which will also be exported as IFC properties. On VisualARQ's website, you have some tutorials to create those "Grasshopper styles". For example: www.visualarq.com/learn/grasshopper-styles/furniture-elements/
Hi, we are already working on version 3 but we can't say an expected date. It''ll probably happen in 2023. But we would like to release a WIP version this year, that will be available for VisualARQ users.
