    Najee is going to get a solid contract offer from the Steelers when the time comes. I don't anticipate this being a Laveon Bell situation. This season will obviously dictate how that turns out. I hope Najee has a tremendous season. With the changes that have been made, I expect the Steelers to absolutely maximize his potential and abilities. This is going to be a season to remember. Barring injury, Najee will go for 1500 plus this year.

      Always curious to see if rookie players elevate year 2. Leal yr. 3, needs to show something now. D-line is Steelers biggest question mark going forward (QB not included) and regardless of the Heyword outcome the Steelers need a 2025 1st round, Big Time D-Lineman perhaps Mason Graham from Michigan to lead this defense going forward.

    Kenny Pickett couldn't hold Justin Fields jockstrap. Justin Fields will not likely beat out Wilson for QB1 but he will learn a lot this year and should Wilson get hurt he will be solid. He is their QB of the future and what he learns from Wilson's experience will get him there. Harris is overdue, it's now or never for him to show he can be elite on a consistent basis. Will Patrick Queen produce the same in a new system? MacDonald was given credit for resurrecting several careers, his being one of them, will he continue to shine without MacDonald? I think so. QB play held this team back over the past couple seasons, that wont be the case now. Tough division with every team having the potential for winning the division, should be an exciting year for the division

    • @DeCurtaRican
      @DeCurtaRican 4 месяца назад +9

      The problem is that the “future” y’all speak of could be too far in the future for Fields’s taste. Russ still has a lot of top-level football left in him - if not elite-level football. If Russ balls out this year, Fields will opt to go elsewhere, but that’s not a loss for the Steelers. Russ is better.
      At no point in Fields’s career has Fields ever been better than Russ has been in his career, even if we count Russ’s bad 2022 season in Denver.
      Russ’s floor has been Fields’s ceiling. He can run, but the slight advantage he holds in rushing isn’t nearly enough to compensate for Russ’s advantages in every other department.
      You guys are praying for Fields to become something he’s not. People have these Lamar Jackson visions of him, but who is Lamar Jackson? I wouldn’t want LJ at his best over Russ at his best.

    • @DeCurtaRican
      @DeCurtaRican 4 месяца назад +3

      Fields is Colin Kaepernick, which isn’t bad but certainly isn’t a guy you take over Russ. In fact, he’s not even Kaepernick.

    I think at a minimum Fields could be a bigger faster Ryan Tannehill or Geno Smith. I'm also a Chicago Bears fan and that kid showed a lot of promise and toughness what was ruined by two inept offensive coaching staffs. People forget his best games like his rookie year when he played us, and various games like Washington, Denver. We know Tomlin likes to give veterans first dibs so unless Fields is dominant I don't think he'll begin the season as the starter.My best case scenario is Russ gets us in the playoffs and Fields gets to start a few meaningless games at the end when we have the division in the bag.

    • @DontActuallyWannaDie
      @DontActuallyWannaDie 3 месяца назад

      Look, I love Fields, but the game against Denver last year is not a good metric to say how good Fields was. Denver's defense during their 1-5 stretch made every quarterback look like Joe Montana.

      People who didn't follow the Bears over the past two years have no idea how big of a steal Pittsburgh got with him. The Bears did everything not to help him the past two years apart from trading for Moore and he had a career year. As long as Justin gets a fair shot at winning the job I think he will eventually. Honestly I would be shocked if he doesn't.

    Who is number #11 I'm guessing Denzel Mims Jr who should have a breakout year here where he has a system, and a quarterback, and healthy for the first time in his NFL career he's had these three things lining up for him, but yhe same van be said for Marquez Callaway, and Dez Fitzpatrick to other super talented 26 years old who have a chance in their prime to go get the number to, but definitely can't count out Van Jefferson we no for a fact what he can do healthy with a good QB same for Quez Watkins, but Duece Watts is my dark horse i had him mocked in the six round to us two years ago he's just waiting on a chance. We also can't count Roman Wilson out as the #2 he's not a slot he's a #1WR naturally built like Detroit's Armon Saint Brown is my NFL comparison for him undersized but plays big

    @danielsexton9311 4 месяца назад +2

    How many years does a player get to prove that they aren't just potential? Actions speak louder than words and all the words about JF are subjective terms that mean next to nothing and cannot be quantified with on the field performance. His performance on the field has been nothing short of a disaster. Sure, he has had 6 or 8 good games and only 10 wins over his 3-year career, but I know backup QB's that have done better than that just last year. I know people like to blame the Bears, but two undeniable facts are that the coaching staff is still there and JF isn't and all of the mistakes JF made on the field are NOT the fault of the coaching staff.

      @@shaquille26able Watch some JF game film, because I have watched a lot. Don't watch the games he won, watch the ones he lost. There are a lot of lost games, he lost almost 3 games to every 1 game he won. You can blame JF being garbage on the Bears, but even management wanted to get rid of Fields because they knew JF is garbage. What isn't the teams or the coach's fault are the INT's, the fumbles, hanging onto the ball too long, and not seeing wide open receivers, nope that is all on JF and his inability to read a defense under any circumstances. He is a college QB who thinks he is still playing college football, and that doesn't work in the NFL. With everything there is wrong with JF he has never accepted any responsibility for his failures and at worst his failures are equally shared with the Bears organization. He has no improvement over his three seasons with Chicago. Even Trubisky wasn't that worthless.
