Problem is with being able to warp from one bonfire to the other, intertwined world kinda loses its whole point for existing. So in order to make a good intertwined world they need to do like the first game and make warping only available later in the game. Imagine how many people would complain if they did that. Not having warp at the beginning of dark souls 1 is fine, since we all know that's a thing and we're used to it. But since they made it a mechanic from the beginning of the game in 2 and 3, now making a game without it is removing some power and control from the player, which is when you start getting the most complaints. Admitedly they could make an intertwined world while keeping the warp, but that'd make the connections feel kinda pointless, the same way they start feeling pointless once you get lordvessel in 1.
@@nickroberts6884 I sure hope they don't that's the ome thing that I really dislike in ds1. @@nickroberts6884 They can't be compared, Sekiro is a very different game to the Souls series, it's almost as if they're not the same game. Just like how Bloodborne while being similar to Dark Souls had a very different playstyle. Except with Sekiro it's a lot more different than Bloodborne is. I get why people say it's harder. There is no co op, your stats don't really go up aside from after beating bosses, and overall, cheesing enemies is a lot more difficult. Possible, but difficult. Anyway this wasn't the point we were talking about. Point being, yeah Sekiro has a pretty intertwined world, not completely, but even DS1 wasn't 100% intertwined. But I mean Bloodborne also has a decently well woven world that doesn't resort too much on "Well you teleport to that place." Actually You could argue that there aren't many areas in DS2 that aren't connected. It's just that since you can teleport from the beginning of the game, then why would you really stop and think about it.

Why do people keep trying to say that Dark Souls Remastered is a remake. Do they not understand simple English? Remake: changes to simple mechanics, map layout, item placement. Remaster: minor changes to some visual animations (like when using an item or the effect on death), and improvement on how the game runs. Is it really that hard to understand? This game was not intended to be a remake. That's why it's called a remaster.
Because most people are entilted bastard children who have diddled the fuck out of our english language into however their warped over privileged minds deem it to be when it actually is not. Aka Millenials in a nutshell.
"Remaster: minor changes to some visual animations" There's your fucking problem. Look at any other remaster and you'll see the visual improvements are not minor. You're supposed to make the game look good and modern, not re-release the same fucking game on more expensive hardware so the performance goes up, with a few inconsequential changes you don't even notice unless you're looking for them. Why is it Bloodborne and Dark Souls 3 both look better than 'remastered' Dark Souls 1 despite being several years older? Because Dark Souls 1 remastered is fucking lazy. People were expecting them to provide, I dunno, _some_ kind of improvement if they're going to charge $40 for it, and if the improvements weren't going to be visual they might as well make some gameplay improvements. How is it that Dark Souls 2 SotFS edition managed to do this basic task better than they did?
The Remaster ist still shit tho. Like take the Starcraft remaster for example. New textures for Everthing in HD and fixed the stuff they needed to fix. The Dark Souls remaster is basically just a new release.
Exactly, so many people are pissed because they expected a full remake, but FromSoft never promised that, it was intended as a "remaster" the entire time and even named "Remastered edition." Some people really baffle me with how bad their comprehension skills are.
Sotfs is a different game edition and it is mentioned on the title as such! Remaster on the other hand is just a graphics remaster. I don’t say that I wouldn’t want improvements and bug fixes but people need to understand the terminology of a remaster. It irrelevant the development period they had if their goal was just that. Having said that, I still don’t think it’s worth the money if you own the original game. :)
I have a question, for a long while now I was wondering why do all the speedruners play with the female gender? Is it because the character is slightly thinner?
Pinco P I'm 100% certain that is untrue. I have played and beat the game as both genders 5 times each, and I have noticed no such thing, not only that but speedrunners don't mention this, and often I see them running Males. Please don't spread around information unless you have legitimate proof
I hate to be a nitpicker (such an unappealing character trait) but in your description you say you're happy to have done a deathless run. Does your death to Ceaseless Discharge not count? Or are you talking about a different run?
Well deathless in the sense that none of the deaths were unintentional. Dying to ceaseless is actually optimal there cause you fade to black right as the "Victory Achieved" message appears
Distortion2 Ahh I understand. I'll be honest when I first watched I was like oh no he pancaked you lol but I did notice you got the kill and it's clear from the video that it's way faster to die there than run back or even homeward bone. Also, I noticed on the O&S fight, it seemed like each hit was scaling in damage? I felt like I had a good handle on this game lol and then I watch this.
can someone tell me why having a mod to guarantee the bkh is illegal? like it changes nothing at all about the rest of the game and just makes the entire process of completing a run that much easier.
ThatGamingCh4nnel stupid as it is, rng is just a critical part of speedrunning. It’s most likely because they just don’t want to alter the game like that, and if they used a mod to fix the bkh drop it’d probably open the door for arguments about using other mods and such. at least that’s what I figure
I sorta understand but the rules of a speedrun are entirely made by the community. If everyone can agree that having a mod that only affects the droprate of the bkh is fine I think it should be allowed. Im coming from the perspective you would want as much people running the game as you can but why bother when 90% of your runs need to be reset just because you didnt get the bkh.
ThatGamingCh4nnel You can't alter gamecode in any way outside the game (so arbitrary code execution is still a legitimate speedrun technique). If you let this fixed drop rate "cheat" slide arguments could be made about other modifications to the original game, you don't want those under any circumstances.
I am a bit new to this game so I am just a bit curious, how was he doing so much dmg to bosses like smough and ornstein with his weapons and build? I am currently doing my first playthrough ever using a vitality and strength build and I don't do nearly as much damage as he does.
TheFenghuang try fighting him without parrying, it’s a lot of fun. Or don’t, it’s completely up to you. He feels like a more aggressive Artorias (Artorias being my favorite boss) and it’s a shame how he basically turns into a joke as you say if you do parry. I can’t tell if this was intentional or not
Viktor Falk even with parrying him, to me he seems more like a pushover. honestly had more trouble with hollows and gravity than the bosses themselves in dark souls lol maybe it's just me tho
rom I think you meant “Even without parrying him”, but anyway. I very rarely die, in any of the souls games, but that’s because I’ve played them for thousands of hours so it’s not to hard for me anymore. It was very difficult the first time through though, and beating Gwynn without parrying was definitely the hardest boss for me. Very fun to fight as well
It was never meant to be an impossible fight. I think it’s fitting that he seems so hopeless and weak. He’s supposed to be a husk of a man who was once a god, but became hollow. I don’t think the fight is a joke.
Dude I probably have around 10-20000 hours between the souls games and I still can’t do most of this is there a spot to get information I have wanted to do a run for quite a while
The15231 nope, he was complaining a lot a couple days ago because he went over an hour without getting a BKH at one point. There was a lot of discussion about whether or not it should be allowed to use a cheat to guarantee a bkh drop
I wonder if it the drop is determined at game start or randomized upon the kill or what? If it's determined at game start, you could cloud save immediately upon starting and just load that save for each new run.
I wasted about 13 minutes only for this guy to cheese past Sen’s fortress gate, if you had the wherewithal to check the comment section first just go ahead and leave the video.

If you let this fixed drop rate "cheat" slide arguments could be made about other modifications to the original game, you don't want those under any circumstances.
badass speedrun, is this any%?
all bosses is not any%
I am a bit new to this game so I am just a bit curious, how was he doing so much dmg to bosses like smough and ornstein with his weapons and build? I am currently doing my first playthrough ever using a vitality and strength build and I don't do nearly as much damage as he does.
He is using RTSR which is a ring that boost your damage massively when under 20% health I believe.
Salty Tadpole Red Tearstone ring is an insane damage buff and Power Within is another good one. He was using the ring which triggers at 20% health
Salty Tadpole also using pine resins when you can can make a huge difference, and the Black Knight Halberd is broken af.
Why is it still not in speedrun dot com?
*GG* this i tried i after 2 3 bosses i have allready manny hours in.. Very nice done ! on all souls games you made wr's
When I use that weapon it's hitting like 300-370 how are you hitting 700-800 damage
Plus I'm max level????? The black knight halberd
Red Tearstone Ring
@@ChrisFear9 thanks
Why use hidden body?
To not get aggroed
But he still gets aggroed
Yeah but their aggro range is much smaller, meaning he can get a lot closer to run past corners and stuff before they block him ect
To reduce aggro range. Those Oolacile sorcerers can be a pain because they can snipe you
JackSzef JKZ to hide the body
My time in the character gen screen is about 15 mins shorter than this.
how did you open the door to new londo? you took black firebombs as gift and didn't see domhall right? what am i missing here?
oh duh i should have known that. thanks dude
it's always funny to hear him complain about something while having absolutely no idea what's going on
he does that a lot, not just this video
kyotheman69 Oh I'm aware, I've seen his other videos. I guess it's just a thing with speedrunners.
Lol where wha time
lol the final boss fight in DS is a joke!
TheFenghuang try fighting him without parrying, it’s a lot of fun. Or don’t, it’s completely up to you. He feels like a more aggressive Artorias (Artorias being my favorite boss) and it’s a shame how he basically turns into a joke as you say if you do parry. I can’t tell if this was intentional or not
Viktor Falk Probably intentional, DS1 did focuses a lot on parry for melee builds.
Fine run and all, but WHY YU NO STRIP ? I remember it made you faster in non remastered
Possibly for the slight defense
in remastered have dragons head glitch for infinite souls?
Brenerr Brener no that was patched out of the original as well. Also no action queuing because all queued actions are canceled when opening the menu
I was hoping that this Glitch still existed..thx
It's a remaster not remake.
I was wondering why you do Seath instead of Sif when you homewardbone to the darkroot bonfire after killing the Hydra?
Nevermind my question, prob because broken pendant only becomes available after freeing Dusk
Dude I probably have around 10-20000 hours between the souls games and I still can’t do most of this is there a spot to get information I have wanted to do a run for quite a while
Git gud
Bed of chaos boss gave me cancer when I first played
Idk if its remaster thing or not but that second gate is closed in original so idk how he just waltzed thorough
He used a glitch to not load the sen's gate, can also be done in the original
Eres un CRACK!!!
But this run wasn't deathless, you died to Ceaseless at like 1:08:00
Halifax Steppenwulf it was an intentional death, it’s part of the speed run
Dying against Ceaseless is the faster strat
Halifax Steppenwulf He meant nothing killed him when he didn't want it too.
How did you start off with the master key when you chose black firebombs? Please tell me how
KoKo Karamel thief has master key as default item
White Album I'm starting my runs all over again 😂😂😂😂 all these 500 hours played and I never new
wth he makes the boss fights look so easy.
why does he put on armor when he does the rtsr setup by hydra?
Why didn't this run get recorded on the SRL leaderboard?
Omg that’s the greatest Bed of Chaos shit I’ve ever seen! Fuck that piece of shit boss lol that is such a sweet trick.
why he have the Masterkey? Can some one explain!
the thief character gets that as a starting item nothing to do with the gift he took
Dark Bead is so balanced
So what happens if you don't get the BKH first drop do you just reset the run?
yes
did they make the black knight weapons easier drops?
The15231 nope, he was complaining a lot a couple days ago because he went over an hour without getting a BKH at one point.
There was a lot of discussion about whether or not it should be allowed to use a cheat to guarantee a bkh drop
O. Guess I just got really lucky on RNG in my first couple of playthroughs
The15231 yeah it does all depend on luck, but it’s really crappy when you’re having bad luck
The15231 Chances are you weren’t trying to get the weapons. The game seems to know when you want one and loves to go “lol nope”
I wonder if it the drop is determined at game start or randomized upon the kill or what? If it's determined at game start, you could cloud save immediately upon starting and just load that save for each new run.
So sick
What about the Ash Lake Hydra? :c
zn4rf Not a boss, other Hydra is required to access the DLC.
What was that gold idol on the ground during the 4 kings fight?
he dropped an item so he could have a sense of direction in the abyss
why hydra is considered as a boss?
wait? is he said that remastered isn't a good version?
What do you do if you don't get the halberd?
I wish you’d turn up the brightness.
Where is the Asylum Demon ???
How does he do so much damage to the bosses?
What's move swap?
Isn‘t manus the final boss?
I wasted about 13 minutes only for this guy to cheese past Sen’s fortress gate, if you had the wherewithal to check the comment section first just go ahead and leave the video.
