8:29 the barrel actually does give you less defense. However it's with specific situations. AI zombies and weeds do more damage to the Bling barrel. Along with the stationary turrets. Also some characters that have piercing also just completely ignore the armor of the bling barrel. Camo cactus, and technically camo ranger. This does not happen with the regular barrel. So while yes the bling barrel acts exactly the same as the regular barrel. It's in these niche scenarios that make the bling barrel obsolete.
Captain squawk tech I found when playing him: he has long ads time but double click zoom instead of single click bypasses ads, but the reticle takes full time anyway. when up close, it's finnicky to do but zoom in, fire just before zooming out, then (I think before you start reloading) immediately press and hold fire with spray and you can spray without waiting for the reload, which happens as soon as you stop firing. He's a cool character with some cozmic brainz level tech if you ask me. Cool video though, shines some love on an otherwise underappreciated character.

As a Pirate main, I can Say that Cannon Rodeo sucks in any situation, unless the opponent Is a blind Citron....but it's cool to have that picture of a Pirate on a cannon between the abilities. The one where I told you a neat trick with Squawk? While using the spray tech, while doing that use the Gull blaster to finish them off when you weaken them with the Spray. It's way more efficient than using one, or the other. Similar to the tech talked about in the beginning.
My main!!! Also to add, parrot pal is better with friends in chat, if you find which side of the capture point is weaker just call them to storm that weaker side. (And that's the problem, it has never happened)

If a pirate tries to use his barrel on you, and you’re out of spikeweeds, just burrow in and don’t move. Wait him out. I wouldn’t recommend rushing anyone down with Rose, but if you see a Deadbeard in barrel you can goatify them out. Her homing ability also hard counters the bird. Nec’Rose can also jinx barrels to kill their armor. A cactus drone can be used to hunt down the vulnerable body of a Deadbeard and knock him out of parrot ( and vice versa ). As a pirate, when being burrowed down, don’t pull out your abilities too early, or the Chomper will simply spikeweed you. Wait until the Chomper is right on top of you, then at the last moment use the ability.
