Amazingly, the Glovers lived next door to the Dingles but we had only ( at this point) seen Ben. The Glovers lived at Holdgates- where the Sharmas are now.
Always wondered, were the Dingles originally meant to be Romani gypsies? Been decades since I watched Emmerdale but remember them all looking a bit different from the rest and with their very clan-like behaviour and these fist-fights.
This is how all feuds, in reality or in soap, should be settled in my opinion. No gangs, no weapons, no one trying to break it up. Just 2 grown men getting together for a good old-fashioned fist fight and seeing who comes out on top, that's what I like to see.
💯 agree. Sadly nowadays people are insecure and don’t want to be seen as the loser so use a weapon of some form and they’re often the ones who go out and provoke trouble.
Both actors are now both sadly no longer with us as Johnny Leeze died in October 2020. As we all know, Steve Haliwell is no longer with us so now they are both up there. R.I.P Johnny and Steve.
I like Cain but I am amazed that people are suddenly afraid of him like they are and its getting ridicules tbh. Ross should be able to AT LEAST fight equally with him but he gets thrown around the same way Dan, Rakesh and Dr Bailey did. Same with Andy & Pete which is even weirder when you consider Andy wasn't even that scared of Cain on his first spell. Scott Windsor was no hardman (and a vile character as well) but even he had the guts to stand up to Cain (infact he often provoked him) even though he ALWAYS lost and Mark Wylde and Eli even got the better of him.Bring back Cameron, John or James these guys wasn't scared of him.
@@tomhiggins6542 Cain is overrated to an extent ned cud have had him if he was around during his time, wat about butch dingle do you think he cud hav taken cain.
I think the fight between Ste/Ned was broke up pretty quickly by Kim, Roy and Turner. I rate Ned as being good (also see Ned v Dave, Ned v Biff, Ned v Danny and the 24/10/1996 episode where The Villiges v Security for further Ned fights) but I rate Cain behind Zak as shows number 2 (although Cains had awful scenes such as crying after been hit by Mark Wylde).I put Ned at 4 behind Zak, Cain and Graham. I will do a top 10 or 20 ED Harman list if you want.@@mm91ie
Zak would beat the shit out of him (if he was a real person), Zak was a champion bare knuckle fighter, vinnie Jones was just a footballer with a bad temper
Bless god Steve ,you will be sadly missed in emmerdale as Zak Dingle head of the Dingle clan😭💔
Good old days of Emerdale. Proper fight that was. 👍
Forever missed but never forgotten

The good old days
RIP Zak dove ✊ 🕊️
Another oldie but goodie sadly gone
Ned and Zak were like Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed.
Started off as rivals, but then became mates.
Would've been cool to see that with Aaron and Jason.
Random thought. Four years later Zak would be marrying someone else and Ned ended up being his best man, funny how life can change.
You were a good actor rest in peace 🙏😢
We will miss him so much and we will never forget him in hours hearts and he will miss by everyone
RIP Steve iconic as Zak
Miss you last
RIP Zak❤❤❤
Too grown men decide to have a fight to see who's the toughest and the entire villages decide to watch...awesome.
I met Steve halliwell in a pub in Leeds what a gent he was sadly missed mate 😢

REST IN PIECE, STEVE. CAN'T IMAGINE EMMERDALE WITHOUT THE DINGLES NOW.
Sam is the only original Dingle left now.
R.I.P Steve Halliwell Zak Dingle ❤❤❤ xxx
Wow, he really reminds me of Cain in this scene :D

Zak, King of the Dingles 👑
These were the real Dingles, the OG Dingles. Today's lot are nothing in comparison. A shell of their former selves
Rip in peace Steve 🎉
R.i.p Steve gotever missed never forgotten😢
The fight leading up to this is now on RUclips and it's the 18/10/1994 episode. It's Roy/Dave/Biff and Luke v Butch and Co.

I'm reading Steve Halliwell Autobiography at The Moment. Il lily finished it
RIP Steve Halliwell
This fight isn’t as close as I remember it being tbh. Ned destroyed Zak.
I thought his first appearance was when the police raided their house and they found him on the shitter? That's my first memory of him!
He was about Cain's age here!
good old ned the better man by far......................
Ned was a lovely man. Salt of the earth.
@@tomhiggins6542 It was definitely good guy Vs bad guy.
see where cain got it from ;)
Does anyone know who the old guy with the hat, the bowtie and the massive mustache is?
Seth
back when Zac was hard.
L Odessa well, he thought he was hard.
RIP Zak Dingle
No Nellie watching? Jan’s there.
Zak cheated at 04:04
He kicked him.
This was the 90's right?
R.i.p zak
Seth had to hold himself back from jumping in and doing the pair of em.
anyone else notice that butch actually spoke normal when he was first on the show and then just sounded thicker and thicker as time went on?
stemple11100 same with Sam as well. They was turned into useless idiots later on for comedy value.
Think Sam is like supposed be an autie though the character.
Vinnie out of Corrie
Yeah he's really young in this
He made Emmerdale a streetfighter with no rules the dingles Rock a gentleman on and off Steve Halliwell.
2:16 what the hell is wrong with her hands
Hi looking for the episode which was aired 2nd April 1996 do you know where I can watch this please? X
This fight was 1994 Zaks first appearance
year? thanks
shame ned wasnt still around when cain first appeared he would of soon put him in his place

Butch wouldn't have taken Cain. Ben was the toughest out of Zaks original offspring, he was the one most like Cain.

The Dingles are absolutely vile!
I've seen more convincing fights in a school playground

Terrible place for a straightner that with the uneven surface and river hazard. They’d have been better off on the tarmac.
What happened to this zak? A few years later and he's letting off his wife's rapist.
When Emmerdale was good. Its a load of woke nonsense now.
