I wish fatshark would make more content. Still after 2 years the maps and story points are VERY slimm. Sure, lots of play hours but the Dan Abnett involvement is only evident in dialogue and the guardsman setting. I wished much more. amazing setting and situation, cool ass regiment, the best vibe ever. I need more of that, the pure gameplay loop is not enough because everything else here is too good to be left alone. So many more interesting situations interactions and reactions to be seen in this set up, just like you said imagine if aliens or other imperial entities show up like what if we'll see a whole regiment coming in as support (instead of just this inquisitor ship over orbit) to shake up the game.
No it’s chaos corruption. Due to warp exposure it causes the las weapons and other weapons tainted to look off and also be dangerous to hold by non chaos worshippers. Mainly by corrupting them as well

Considering the average civilian doesn't know Chaos exists. What the Captain is saying makes a lot of sense being just a person in this world.

I mean even knowing Chaos exists, the Imperium simply does not care for its people.

Waiting to Strike, it's the calm version of Imperial Advance that plays before horde holdout portions in certain maps.

Considering the kind of game Darktide is, the lore acting and cinematics are way above par.
The Moebinan Sixth is as cool as the Blood pact warriors. Wether they follow chaos or the imperium humans remain human.
