Brilliant, black and white film, precise clipped tones of received pronounciation. What's not to like...and what have we got now...? And there's the trains, wow, absolutely stunning!

Thanks! I rather lack for military vehicles etc. I found that the 'iMovie' programme that comes with the computer can change the film to black and white. Thanks for watching.

@@mytinplaterailway I have to say that anything "rather lacking" relating to your wonderful model railway is very much a relative concept!! Cheers.

Wonderful, thank you. I wonder who the man was whose voice was used as the narrator? Very BBC of the period. We had similar accents used by ABC broadcasters in Australia at the same time. Very funny considering the typical Australian accent was far more broad.

Thank you. His name was Frank Phillips - on the opening shot, but easily missed. I will add a link to the original film. Thanks for watching.

Great video and fantastic layout. Is the A4 a named engine? Reason I ask is I recently acquired an Ace Trains black A4 named The City of Lancaster where I studied in the late 60’s.

Hello, it's 'Peregrine' - the bird of course. I didn't know they did an A4 with that name. The ACE one is lovely in glossy black. This film would be better if I had more military 'stuff' for it to pull. But I am unlikely to ever want to get any more so figured this would have to do. Thank you for watching.
