Mines like 10mm out

but i set to -8mm to display 500mm correctly but 300 shows as 299 and 200 as 197. 1m shows as 994.. 500 is 500 but if everything else is off, it's useless. I've been using it to measure some timber last year and I did not have any problems. Seems that it measures differently against white glossy acrylic paint (shows higher value) vs. grey matt drywall (shows lower than wood)
