I've just discovered this band yesterday and I've watched so many of their live performances and I'm now a full on fan. I'm 52 and this brings me back and yet it's new. Someone said it best that they are the evil baby of The Cure, Sisters of Mercy and Depeche Mode. I'm in love with it.
darkwave is poppin right now , other bands id recommend that are big in the goth scene right now would be tr/st , boy harsher , molchat doma , BOAN , she past away , sextile , mareux , minut machine , glass spells , and french police
Definitely Love She pass away. Some of the newer bands I definitely like as well. I come up on the Cure Siouxisie Bauhaus this mortal coil Cocteau twins the wake dead can dance the Cramps Nosferatu London after midnight the church Etc. Got into the scene in in 86. 8th grade through high school and still to this day. The 80s set the trends and was AWESOME
The video is disturbing because it appears to be about addiction to a particularly deleterious drug: she touched the rock (drug x) and now it has infected her, poisoned her, she cant get rid of it, eventually it consumes her, it pulls her in (thus the final scene where the rock is pulling her in and she cant resist) and destroys her. The contrasting shots seem to illustrate how you can momentarily be in bliss from the drug, or it can seem like a light thats attracting you, but in reality following that bliss will eventually destroy you.
Thank god for youtube. In the 80s and now the radio stations still play the same songs over and over. I discovered this and an older band i had never heard before called" slowdive"
with a splash of tears for fears but o can't say why it's just a vibe. also during a q&a they said that this album was written while on the tour while watching X-Files
As a 57 Young man (😂)… i do love , really I do what Twin Tribes gives to us ….. You can imagine I’am a huge fan of The CuRe ( 17 times in concert between 1986 and 2022) , Sisters of Mercy, The Mission, Joy Division, Bauhaus , Cocteau Twins , Clan Of Xymox…etc So I’am excited by this inspiration of those 80s and 90s vibes from this new generation… You should listen to SHE PAST AWAY..also new generation band
Love the reaction! BTW. They are Sci fi nerds and was heavily inspired by X-Files lyrically and visually for this one. Other bands similar I highly suggest checking out- Bragolin Traitrs French Police Haunt me Male Tears so many others! The new wave scene is making a GIGANTIC COMEBACK
I love twin tribes but i hadnt heard this song somehow and ooooih boy did i find one of my new favourites. Niceeee! Goth is back overall, has been since the late 2010s, but its defo becoming more noticable now if you havent seen them yet you could check out Boy Harsher, For example the song Face the Fire. I love Boy Harsher as well :)
Super nice guys. And you could easily pluck them from the present and stick them in the height of darkwave's popularity and they'd fit right in.... Both musically and aesthetically. They'd probably have 25x the following.
Their music is an acquired taste for most. I like the music video more than the song but the more I hear it, the more I like the song more now. Very Venom/Wolfman 2025 vibes
I would have to say “Monolith” was one of my favorite tracks from 2023. Not to mention the video is absolutely amazing!

Twin Tribes are one of the bands leading the newest wave of goth. Joel and Luis really set the standard and are getting new fans I to the genre

I just seen these guys in Tampa FL last week. Love this group. Another band in this genre Drab Majesty.
Great reaction! You should react to "Fantasmas" or " The river" by twin tribes too :)
