One of many aircraft handling films produced during WWII, this movie provides ground and flight crews with vital information for the care of the Boeing B-29 Superfortress. Topics covered include taxiing, towing, mooring, handling of brakes, securing of the aircraft including covering of pitot tubes and air scoop covers, inspection, use of a tug and tow bar, closing of cowl flaps and securing of the electrical system including batteries, and more.
Starting at 21:17 is a second film, although this one is incomplete, about the idle adjustment of the Ceco Carburetor to maintain engine performance.
We encourage viewers to add comments and, especially, to provide additional information about our videos by adding a comment! See something interesting? I got emotionally invested in the mixture valve adjustment procedure... only to have the ending missing. This is why I drink.

Boy, what could go wrong with that idle adjustment.
Potential to drop and lose every part into lord knows where but you hope it’s a good place.

One of the many propaganda films we had to watch in the Air Force 😂
