Been saying it since the beginning. I would love to hear his interpretations of the pieces Wendy chose. Sam has something Wendy didn't. His own instruments.
My first thought was "That's so 'Switched on Bach'". I definitely get Wendy Carlos vibes from it 👍
Y'know, it's ironic, back in the day the Synthesizer was considered the sound of the future, but now it sounds very decidedly retro. Still super cool, just an interesting perception flip~
Not to me. I'm young and I still find them- well, I find them as a blend between retro and futuristic, kinda like an alternate universe but also not.
@@cloudtaker633 weeeird, I get what you mean though. Maybe the way that media has associated it as a "futuristic" sound for so long has colored how we hear it?
What was once futuristic is now retro. That's a measure of how old we are.
A sublime finish to the Four Seasons. Once again done with empathy to the original score but with your own take on it. This is a hallmark of true musicianship. 🙏

This kind of video really takes us back to the very beginnings of synth technology and the kind of music that was made with it, in a really fresh new way. Back then, that was the intention when showing off the tech, and your work stays true to that intention. Such a fun bag of tricks!

Your previous synth cover of classical music is to this day imprinted into my brain. This is cool too, but please do more of dramatic and serious music, the synth wobbliness gives it whole another dimension of musical texture and expression!
EDIT: I stand corrected, this is a masterpiece as well. (But Vivaldi more generally is pop music :D)

Congrats for completing the Seasons! Quite a feat. Despite the tired trope of adapting classical works to synth arrangements I think you managed to give this your own personal touch.

👍 I'd be HIGHLY interested in some of your interpretations of the classical pieces done for A Clockwork Orange. Wendy did them on other peoples hardware. You have the ability to do them on hardware of your own creation.
