@@Blaze-qr6gy it’s not that vol 1 is boring, it’s setting up the world so that the story can move on smoothly without expositions. But vol 2 is when the story acts on the world that was built in vol 1

These are novels but not light novels. Light novels are usually classified as anime-like genres or novels native to Japan or likely to be adapted to anime.

After Reverend Insanity, no novel could pacify me. Except this one, Lord of the Mystery. A breakening and slow read death came from the abbys of comfort.

It will. Start LoTM. Finish the book 1. And don't jump into book 2 immediately. Take a break and maybe read some other webnovel like SS or something. Then start book 2. Also, stay the fuck away from any LoTM videos or posts. As a web novel with a huge focus on mystery itself, spoilers WILL ruin it.
The only way for them to adapt this masterpiece and do it justice is to either:
Have infinite budget and be willing to hire the best Japanese studios like the one that does demon slayer.
Actually give up the idea of an anime, it wont do justice to the source material. Focus instead on hiring dark souls team or the one that did detroit become human to make a game for Lord of the mysteries that follows the story to a T. Wont miss any detail from the story,can be come consumed in a few days instead of waiting 10 years to adapt the whole story in anime.
I hope that the upcoming anime is a masterpiece 🥂🗿

At chapter 164, the story takes a big turn, and at chapter 200-ish everything comes crashing down, and u'll experience one of the biggest whipplashes i've ever read
Also, if u have trouble with motivation, every 20-ish chapter is a Tarot Gathering, which are very fun to read
