No-- he is a normal macaque behaving pretty predictably. They are food aggressive, and Koko was never socialized to be anything but an alpha when it comes to food access and food order. Also, yoko is getting much of the attention of affection that he used to get, and is a male. Koko is getting older and trying to establish his own position in the hierarchy...and his troop is tiny and not naturally occuring. The humans are not correcting him, bor are they feeding him separately, nor are they forcing Yoko to wait until Koko is mostly full, all three of which are options. Koko and Yoko would both have been better off if Yoko had *not* been stolen from his mother to be sold to humans.

Even if he is neutered, he will probably always be a bit food aggressive (and boy, he really needs neutering if they are going to keep him, which is the only possible good life I can imagine for him! As a macaque he will never be a huge monkey, theyre pretty small... but by the time he is 4 or 5 he will have those huge, dangerous canine teeth that can easily hurt someone during dominance play! He most likely cant survive on his own, and without the right socializing and medical care, he is likely to become very hard to handle as years go by)
