Thank you! I think I'll start fermenting my feed again. Especially for my geese and ducks. I've been putting my muskovy's feed right next to their pool specifically so they can soften it up and drink water with their food so they don't choke. Doing it that way means I have to give them a fresh, clean pool with their food and then clean it up again once they're done eating. So that's four pool changes daily at a minimum! If I ferment their feed and move it away from their pool like you recommend I won't go through so much water. I'd probably only need to clean the pool twice per day. Maybe only once if it's not muddy! 😂

Lol my ducks always mess up their water the second I give it to them. 😆😆😆🤣🤣. I also just finished uploading my fermenting video so that should be live soon. Thanks for the great video ideas!

@@FlipFlopsAnimalSanctuary I'll go watch that one, too! I am unfortunately unable to donate to flip-flops, but I make a point to watch every single one of your videos and comment a bunch in hopes that helps your channel. Once I'm more financially stable I'm definitely donating to your sanctuary. You and everyone working there are so loving and care so much about the animals. I love to see it. ❤️.

@@Lorittax3 I certainly appreciate you watching the videos! It’s a big help. One of my goals is to get this channel grown to the point where I can start to earn ad revenue from people watching the videos to support the sanctuary. We’ve got a long way to go but everyone that watches and shares the videos is a huge help and I really appreciate it! It’s an excellent way to support the sanctuary.

Do you add yeast to your goose food to give them the niacin that all lock doesn’t necessarily contain?

We do when they are babies, ducks too. Once they are adults, we do not regularly supplement. Unless of course they are having some kind of health issue. Occasionally, someone will send us a bottle of poultry booster off our Amazon wishlist, and then it gets put in everyone's food until we've used it up. But aside from that we do not supplement regularly. All of the outside birds on the sanctuary are fed a fermented corn product. For the geese, the fermented corn is mixed in with their grass pellets. When you ferment corn, it makes niacin more bioavailable to them. I have not had any health problems whatsoever. In mature geese related to niacin deficiency while on this diet. 🙂
