From Aviana to Invent, incredible vocalist. Much respect such a good reimagining/version of this song.
Can't be more glad you did this. Soul Sleep is my absolute favorite IA song (next to Celestial Floods) and the lyrics you wrote give the song a whole new meaning. I'll always prefer the original, but this audition proves that the band made the right choice when searching for a new vocalist. You deserve it man! Hope to hear this live one day!

I think Ben takes the cake on this one, but I'm happy that they chose Marcus.
I do prefer Bens version of this song though I do really like this as well. You can see where they made changes to adapt to his voice on Greyview. I can't choose a favorite of the 3 albums; I personally love them all the same. Though Greyviews lyrics are really hitting home for me these days.

@@FuegoNooot I love the new singers voice, he is immensely talented especially with his cleans. I dont think theyre comparable . Markus can hit highs and lows well and seems to have a bit more range than Ben, But Ben takes the cake in terms of lyrics, and atmosphere with his voice, the way he uses it in a song. Both are great. I was bashing the lyrics here but honestly the lyrics on the new album are amazing .

Both this version of Soul Sleep and Ben's version are great but the vocal melody of the original with Ben is better imo. I love both Marcus and Ben equally though, I wish we could have both at the same time.
The vocals in the chorus remind me of the band, Lead Hands

Well, for me the material with Marcus from Northlane made Northlane much worse than before, but Marcus Vik made really great album with Invent Animate

@@JmR201 i told nothing about his vocals, he is good as a vocalist for sure, but i don't really like the material with him. It just doesn't fit my music tastes, that's all :)

Everything is better except the chorus. Ben’s chorus is one of the best vocal parts in IA’s discography.
