ok, i was completely blow away when you say this figure only cost $35. For this price you get optional effect pieces, die-cast parts, and optional hands, and an articulated figure... this is such a steal. Now days... for $35 you get wayyy less then that. Maybe because I buy one way too many over priced third party TF, Marvel Legend figs, and Robo Damashii stuff. All those equals to no die-cast or effect parts.
I think you can't compare this one to the other SRC releases. The articulation is very good given the design, look at other bulky designed robots, they can't move as well as this one. A lot of extra effort as to be put in for it to have this kind of posability. Also, look at the amount of dicast used, some of the newer releases had almost to non or just little bits in the joints. I think this one deserves a little bit more praise
