Lesson 5: Repulsion Testing Procedure

This video demonstrates the repulsion test for YES Unit: Engineering Magnetic Dog Doors, Lesson 5.
Slide your Repulsion Measurement Tool under the straws on the repulsion track to line up with the corresponding test.
Attach a disc magnet to your wooden block with the washer taped to it.
Attach a 1" strip magnet to your model dog with the washer taped to it.
Align your wooden cube and model dog on opposite sides of your repulsion track.
Inch your model dog closer to the cube line by line until the wooden cube moves away from the dog. Make a mark with a pen where this movement happens. Repeat these steps 3 times to assure your answers are accurate.
