    spanning tree does not run on fabric extenders. all ports have bpduguard enabled by default even on trunks which you can disable with bpdufilter to get the ports shut down but this is probably a dangerous workaround, effectively meaning you can't hang other switches from the fabric extenders. something to keep in mind.
