Your are welcome, I have also created a video for a more complicated but in some cases more preferable approach, you can find that video here: ruclips.net/video/te5kKFqrB8U/видео.html
At what level do you calculate the impacts? At lowest possible level/product level or can you do it at highest level? It would be interesting to see the data behind your dashboards :)
Is there a way to do something similar for a ratio or percentage? I want to compare ACOS (advertising cost of sales) from one period to another. For example if spend is 30k and sales from that marketing spend is 100k, ACOS is 30%. ACOS can be broken down further to CPC (cost per click, or spend) divided by the product of AOV (average order value) and conversion rate. CPC and AOV is in dollars while conversion is a percentage. If my ACOS is 25% in one period and 30% in another for a 500 bps variance, can I determine exactly how much is from each of the three factors? Please help if you can with a video or response as to how to write the calculations
Thank you for this crystal clear explanation. I have been looking for something this crystal clear for a long time. THANKS

I assume if you're doing a margin mix analysis, you would substitute PTY/PLY with MTY/MLY. Correct?
Yup
