Having not read the book, I was unfamiliar with the total story, so I was glad to hear you break it down more for me. BTS really are artists. I love how you really have to look and think about their music. I also like how they smack you in the face with their music in order to get their message across - like they did with Idol and Dionysus.
OMG. Jimin as Emil, the boy that tells a LIE about stealing APPLES. His solo song, LIE, is on the Wings album with BS&T. He's holding/eating an apple in the MV. For more than 4 years, I've thought it was leaning more toward Biblical symbolism - which, in a way, it still can/might - but, to apply a razor, the more obvious choice is often the right one. The MV references Demian from first frame to last; thus, the apple refers to Emil's LIE. (I'm sitting at my desk, hours after watching this, and my mind keeps wandering back here. I'm just in so much awe of the Tannies & their whole BH/Hybe team with how they pen the lyrics, weave in the melody, layer the themes, tie them together, make us think, make us FEEL... truly, I'm gutted that I likely won't be around when their work is discussed, analyzed on a PhD level & given the accolades they deserve. Wings was far ahead of its time. I wager, had it been released between 2020 & now... there's the Grammy nom & win.

As a german, Hermann Hesse was a big part of my school life. Back in that days I hate his books. Al the interpretations and ananlysis. I started to appriciate it as an adult, with more knowelege of the world and society
I think because BTS started with 3 rappers. Because RM is so clever, I fully believe there are meant to be more than 1 possible reading and this would be deliberately tweaked to allow for parallel readings. A story as a double. Double meanings are common in rap as RM has stated that good writing is both specific but also general. This ability to create stories that change like a kaleidoscope depending on different points of reference are the highest form of art.

Tae absolutely was Lucifer - he didn't fall out of the window/ off the balcony, wasn't pushed by anyone else. He jumped. He CHOSE to fall, as did The Light Bringer.

Very interesting breakdown. It has been 50 some years since I read this book. I remember being very puzzled as to much of what was depicted. But I couldn't put it down.

Of course I love BTS al their songs but I love most the prior of Dinamate and butter. いつもありがとうございます。私はDynamiteのJIMINの声に惹かれBTSを知りました。もっと知りたいと思い過去の曲やMVを見て、さらにBTSの芸術に驚きました。特にこの「血、汗、涙」のMVは全くデミアンのストーリーの場面を細かく再現していて素晴らしいと思います。また、RMが成長するには殻をやぶってでなければならない。と言うところでその殻とは・・・・と考えさせられるMVです。
JIMINの兵役に行く前にInstaに卵があがった時は、この意味をいつ知ることになるのか、怖いような、楽しみのような感じを受けました。
