* Profit-Driven System: The healthcare industry remains largely profit-driven, with private insurance companies and hospitals playing key roles.
* Limited Government Control: While the government provides subsidies and regulates the insurance market, it does not directly own or operate healthcare facilities.
The ACA can be more accurately described as a regulatory reform that aimed to improve access to health insurance and make it more affordable. It did not fundamentally alter the capitalist system of healthcare in the United States.

I would like for once for conservatives to explain why a fire department isn’t socialism. It seems they keep dodging that issue, and this is a perfect example of it.
It’s a municipal necessity.. what are you talking about. We can’t not have fire stations. We can not have a “sharing of wealth”

Not to mention all the other things that go into safely putting out a fire. Are a bunch of citizens going to go out to a wild forest fire and contain it? Not water hose* but a fire house that is meant to put out fires is what I meant to say. You want people to put out fires at their homes and citizens to go attempt to gun down an armed robber is what I’m hearing. Insane
@@JsalMMA1 okay, so there can be a public fire department to put out fires in public areas such as forests and parks, but they can have private fire departments that people pay to put their own houses out. Here’s an even better idea. The private fire department can work for the home insurance companies. That way they have real incentive to put it out as thoroughly and as quickly as possible since they have to pay for whatever gets destroyed. They also have more incentive to find the root cause to prevent it from happening again. I can’t believe you actually thought that was a good argument. People can’t perform heart surgery on themselves either. Why can’t the government provide that?
