My late husband of 25 years and I loved dancing to this. I have to live in a nursing home due to a really bad heart and I get through the days listening to good music. 🙏✝️💖
I understand my late wife passed away on our anniversary Feb 19th 2011it was 23 years that day you hang in there and remember they would want us to keep going
How does a young 28 year old find his way in this cold world. Loss everything in the last 8 months and listening to this song gives me almost 6 minutes of forgetting my problems. One day I'll be in such a better place i swear i will. Can't give up.
Hang in there. Everything lost Gid will restore 10 fold. You want someone to Trust? Trust Him! Let all the past go and look to the hills, your help comes from there. Every day is a new chance to get right. His Love is Unconditional.
How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word.
Psalm 119:9
You need to pray for what you want, my dear
Thanks for advice
I'm praying for the right one to come along
The soul rejoices to the music. Have mercy!
I wanna be living, for the love of Christ.
All that I'm giving, is for the love of Jesus. ✝️

This was the first song I danced to with my husband 44 years ago. After being married 40 wonderful years, he died 2 years ago today. This song still brings butterflies when I remember that first dance. I miss him so much.
I’m 32 but I prefer listening to songs like this.. I don’t even have a girlfriend lol but I keep my heart open with love.. I know what’s meant for me will find its way to me.. I refuse to let the world make me think that there’s no unconditional love for all of us 💙💡
Put in the work and go find her bro. She out there waiting, and looking for you too. Stay blessed and have a good day
All of my friend have gone home keep the faith God love u very much and there for u much love ❤
I'm 27 n i can relate
i dont think unconditional love is enough to maintain a romantic relationship. the unconditional love some of us are lucky to get from our parents is one of a kind and the unconditional love you get from a romantic partner can be broken if you dont treat your partner with respect and care. if you do mess up they might always love you but that doesnt mean theyll always be with you.
JUST THE GOOD LORD AND THE STRONG LOVING HEART THAT HE PUT IN YOUR SOUL, IS ALL YOU REALLY NEED. JUST WHEN YOU THINK HE FORGOT ALL ABOUT YOU,...HE WILL SEND YOU SOMEONE VERY SPECIAL, OR MAKE YOU LOOK AGAIN AT SOMEONE WHO'S BEEN THERE ALL ALONG,...ALWAYS WORKING IN MYSTERIOUS WAYS, HIS WONDERS TO PERFORM.
R.I.P. Rudolph, Marvin, O' Kelly and Vernon Isley, May you all rest in peace🙏.

It's 3:30a.m. My sons & I buried my First & only true love. We married after I turned 18. My B-day was July 18, 1975. He passed away on his B-day Mon. Feb 10, 2020. He was born 2/10. We had good times & bad times. God knows I would do anything to have the bad times as well as the good times. We had a love neither of our families understood. We married, we parted, we divorced. We remained the best of friends. I guess because we were friends, then lovers, then Husband & Wife. Apart we looked out for each other all the time. Not because we had sons together WE JUST LOVED EACH OTHER, in our own special way. I love u, Cash, forever. This was one of our songs. Show ur love to those u love, while telling them. Action really does speak louder than words. God bless each one that reads this. XOXO
Amen, Sis...that is the greatest of loves. Mine just passed too...true OG...Rest in Power, Phillip! Jah knows u show nuff loved us women as much as u loved the Redwoods on your land and Dome house you built with your own hands. The last thing he said to me after grabbing the phone from his girlfriend, "I just want to put my hands on you and make love and fuck you again so good." I laughed through tears. I got the phone call a month later from his girlfriend. That was kind of her. It was that kind of love. Hands down, would of done anything for him. Selah!!!
God bless u. Hold onto the memories
My husband also passed on February 10 , 2002
I love this Ruth!! Love Always!! Sometimes people dont or dont want to understand. As long as you and Cash knew your love then that's all that matters. Treasure your sons and your love always!

Facts They have a distinctive sound truth is truth
50 years ago in May, 1973, my classmates and I graduated from Enterprise High School. These are some of the songs that we listened to. The whole world was in front of us. Now, 50 years later, some are wives, husbands, parents, grandparents, great grandparents. We have lived from the middle of the 1900's and going on toward a third of the 2000's. We have lost classmates, teachers, friends, parents, siblings, spouses, and even children and grandchildren. I can close my eyes and be back in 1973, with bell bottoms, halter tops, afro's, listening to these sounds and others. To my classmates of Enterprise High School, Class of 1973, I again salute and love you.
Shout out to all of you from Brewton....
Hello Enterprise! I’m from Bay Minette near Mobile, Alabama
What a beautiful salute to your classmates. God bless, my beautiful people.
Also a 73 graduate from a West coast boarding school sharing the memories and staying connected if only by music like this that lives in my soul. Music makes life a little easier to believe it is worth giving no matter how we're affected by what's taken from us.

This is such a timeless classic! In 1975 when this first came out I was 14 yrs. Old,and didn't realize how much this song would play a part in my adult life.45 yrs.later I still get a little teary eyed listening and remembering all the people that graced my life!! Ron Isley voice is so smooth and hypnotic, and hooks you from the first verse!!this is the"Royal Family of soul music"!! I guarantee that you can't find a group that is responsible for millions of babies born all over the world!!! And this is the song that was playing when I got my first taste of being in love! So please all you young black musicians know that these brothers paved the way for you to make the kind of music you choose to make today!! Stay Blessed and be kind and give each other love instead of complaining and killing one another please!! Rarebreed Am I!!

I'M SO GLAD I'M A FUCKIN 1970'S BABY .... 🎸🥁👍🏾♥️
"Today's generation don't know nothing about this" ofc we do, the music is timeless. Relax
Please brother, no need to further your onslaught against what remaining credibility you may still possess. Todays generation is so conflicted with themselves, that they have no issue with stirring up the vibe, so long as they get their disrespect out there. Everyone knows if you feel the compulsion to declare to the world that you are in fact some title or a certain level of expertise, the only true thing that is for certain is that you clearly are not said claim. If you have to say you are, you’re not, one doesnt obtain position or knowledge by merely declaring, “I know all about that.” Or “Of course I know everything about this, even as much as anyone who lived through it.”
Speaking in such absolutes is clearly an indicator of someone who’s speech isn’t thought-through and can be expected to carry a higher percentage of arrogance and recklessness. You speak while your emotions have been given control of your behavior, which would be equivalent to a child’s tantrum. Do not go against others who merely arw reminiscing and speaking in generalizations. They aren’t naming you specifically, no ones targeting you individually, you’re simply getting it all twisted within yourself. You took offense when there was none offered. This is something deeper than this comment thread, this is an unresolved issue you have with yourself. Something about being told you’re not able to comprehend something or that you lack the knowledge to understand a certain value. That just angers you, you react as though anothers’ general opinion will become a fact against your image for the foreseeable future. If you were truly sitting at the Table with the rest of this generation and their music, you’d be sharing in the nostalgia that comes with every Oldie. You definitely wouldn’t be acting like a spoiled who gets angry if another child has something that you don’t have.
And I’m pretty sure you won’t even read this far into what I’ve sad, probably still kicking and screaming back on the first sentence.
It’s more than beautiful music, it’s an array of master ieces in which gave color to that generations’ world around them. The memories that are triggered from every track, those certain individual songs that bring on a wave of bittersweet emotion because it was a favorite of a loved one that have long passed, yet the song remains, as much as we’d rather it be the other way around. The music isn’t just about being aware that it exists, its realizing that there wont ever be another time period that carried such an atomic impact on its people through its range of music and soul.
Don't punish me with brutality
Come on talk to me
So you can see
What's going on.

"Sad to see a"new horizon" SLOWLY coming INto view."Probably the saddest line in the HISTORY of music!!

The hardest thing for me about life is being lonely and loveless. But songs like this just hit my heart in a certain way that somehow helps me fill the gap in my soul that is crying out for affection.

For my eleventh birthday, my father gave me one of the first boomboxes. It had a cassette player with AM/FM stereo sound. I loved it. My mom took me to the record store to buy some tapes and what do I choose, The Isley Brothers and Stevie Wonder, I was a white girl who loved Soul and Funk music. I loved the way the music made me feel when I listened to it.

Some songs just make you so happy. You can just go back to the day and time when you first heard it and remember what you were doing at the time. This song takes me there every time!!!

I was born in 95 & I’m still new to Isley brothers but I’m glad I was able to discover this piece of musical gold. My generation couldn’t understand how real this is.

It's not enough writing a great song if you can't do justice to it with a great melody. Isley Brother's did that here. A true classic!
