Very good video my friend. I talk boxing all the time with ppl and this is something we conatantly bring up about DB.. If he can remedy this issze by spending 30 mins every day in the ring.. I would have somebody with real back foot fighting experience come into camp or just become part of the team for a year so they could teach DB the fundamentals of boxing on the back foot.. I’m 6’4 walk around 180 a few months ago I was 200 (just got out the Air Force) and i wanna knock this dude out I’m bigger and stronger I’ll see him one day and I’m only 20
I feel that if you try to improve something’s that can affect him in other things he currently does well in the end he is only getting better and becoming more experienced. it’s it’s good to be become more well rounded but it depends on the different type of opponents when u should apply this changes / improvements in some fights it just better to fight and opponent into submission while not necessarily getting caught up playing to much defense when that and could take time from u getting the stoppage and giving more breathing room to your opponent.
Missed a very important thing to his pressure game, and thats his control of the opponents hands, david likes to throw a 1, 2, with a semi left uppercut/jab then he will fake it nex time with a 1 , 2, shoot that uppercut/jab around the opponents left gloves and pull the hand down into a right hook, also likes to throw a right uppercut inside when they are in high guard, and pull the opponents right hand down with his right hand after the right uppercut by pulling the forearm area, and throwing a left hook up top while hes pulling, does the same with the left uppercut, he will throw the left uppercut, then pull the oppenets left hand towards him then throw the right hand.
He stops canelo. People will be shocked how easy it will be, if canelo ever has the balls to fight him which I doubt. Great analysis overall. David is a much smarter and skilled fighter than most people give him credit for. He is more than just a basic pressure fighter. He is the most vicious fighter since a prime Manny imo.

If you target the bicepts with the cross you can do serious muscle damage and that will slow your opponents punches!. The same with the hook, targeting the shoulder and triceps. Canelo does this as did Marciano.

I disagree with the commentator on his criticism of David's defense, his offense is his great defense, trying to change or fix his defense will hurt his style and cause David to truly get hit more than one thinks , and due to this style of fight David is relying on proving skill that his craft is harder to penetrate when his offensive tactics overwhelming effecting his opponents. The only way to counter attack this is to rely on your own skill that your defense be exactly like David's offense, or greater than his , and that is only done by entering the Abyss of one's belief that they are truly a MONSTER.

In plants example all he used was defense and lacked offense. Benavidez was a champion at a very young age but was stripped for reasons other than boxing. What tougher oppposition you are talking about? It´s not his fault that no one nor any promoter wants to have any fighter fight him. He can beat Charlo, Plant, Andrade, even Canelo. He should part ways with his promoters, he is wasting his time. Even Plant had a shot against Canelo, and Benavidez beats Plant. Both have the same promoter and yet they didn´t want to make the fight because they knew Benavidez would beat Plant and miss the chance to fight Canelo since the latter doesn´t want to fight Benavidez.

He’s stiff. Lacks quick footwork. Though his D seems good, he does receive a lot of punches. His bread & butter is his uppercut. Long reach could keep Charlo honest but not for entire 12 rounds. CI think Big Charlo would win.
If anyone has ever stepped in the ring, ya'll know that the best defense someone's have is their attack. Just imagine having to think smart while a 6' 2" quick and heavy handed guy is throwing blows at your liver, stomach, chest, face and head. It's just a matter of time, at least that's exactly how it feels when you watch Benavidez box. Even when he faced Plant and he was letting Plant do hos thing, I never felt like he was in danger or like he wasn't in control. It felt like at the moment he decided to go for it, he just made Plant pay for the slaps. One of the best fighters at this moment definitely in my opinion.

His implications about David Benavidez are pretty obvious. My question is what elite boxers in the super middleweight and light heavyweight divisions can beat David? Also, every one of those “elite” boxers have flaws. David beats them all, and in a challenging, rugged fight, I'd favor Benavidez over Canelo. Though, it wouldn't surprise me if Canelo won.

Benavidez was a champion at a very young age but was stripped for reasons other than boxing. What tougher oppposition you are talking about? It´s not his fault that no one nor any promoter wants to have any fighter fight him. He can beat Charlo, Plant, Andrade, even Canelo. He should part ways with his promoters, he is wasting his time. Even Plant had a shot against Canelo, and Benavidez beats Plant. Both have the same promoter and yet they didn´t want to make the fight because they knew Benavidez would beat Plant and miss the chance to fight Canelo since the latter doesn´t want to fight Benavidez.

Canelo has far better head movement, far better footwork, he’s a better counter puncher, has a better chin, arguably better power and hand speed and ofc more experience. The only thing Benavides dose better is throwing combinations, but that could be due to canelos style being based on counter punching with one or two powerful shots rather than multiple weaker but faster shots. Even when he faced Plant and he was letting Plant do hos thing, I never felt like he was in danger or like he wasn't in control. It felt like at the moment he decided to go for it, he just made Plant pay for the slaps.

My question is what elite boxers in the super middleweight and light heavyweight divisions can beat David? Also, every one of those “elite” boxers have flaws. David beats them all, and in a challenging, rugged fight, I'd favor Benavidez over Canelo. Though, it wouldn't surprise me if Canelo won.
