So, I just got back from ChosenCon and I’ve got to be honest…I get it now.
I’ve reviewed every clip and episode that they’ve ever put out But last week, something clicked. Something that helped me realize why this is so much more than a great show more than just a higher quality Christian media

The Chosen portrays the humanity of our Lord in a way I’ve never seen in film before; fully God and fully man.
I'm not a Christian, but I started reading the Bible. As I read, I see the people of "The Chosen" in my mind's eye. Thanks for this video, Brandon. ❤

One thing I love about The Chosen is that it's true in spirit. It's a fictionalized version of the gospels, but I say true in spirit because the people Jesus called to follow him were just that - people with personalities, quirks, likes, dislikes, quarrels, jokes, etc. It humanized Christ's followers, and doesn't treat the women like second class citizens.
Your statement couldn't be more true. When I saw the very 1st episode , I knew it was different from all the other shows I grew up with. I was hooked and saw the words of the bible so differently. ALIVE were the words. Thank God , He lives.

The Chosen is deceptive and a false version of the Bible. They make the Lord Jesus Christ out to be a caricature, they do not care if this leads people away from scripture or to it as long as it makes the Mormons $$$$$
Jesus didn’t ever need help preaching His sermon on the Mount, Jesus never sinned as was alluded to in the show when He was a child teaching in the temple. This is disturbing and I pray for y’all’s discernment.

You're absolutely right about The Chosen being a movement, Brandon. I realized that early on, and I think part of that goes hand in hand with supporters of the series contributing financially, by prayer, purchasing from the gifts store, spreading the word. There is no series that has been 100% crowdfunded! I believe the project is God-breathed, and to see it going global with a goal of 600 language translations - word around the world! Multitudes coming to and back to Jesus! It IS a movement! And a tool in the hand of God to reach the world.
The Chosen has helped me feel deeper when reading my Bible. I cried ever so deeply reading the Bible about John the Baptists beheading and when I thought of the Chosen scene of his beheading and John seeing the lamb I cannot put into words how I felt. Jesus the one ☝🏽 and only true Saviour. 🤲🙌🙏🏽🕊️❤️👏🏽 Amen thy will be done not ours 🙏🏽
Am somewhat baffled by the people who are Christian, go to church, do good as the gospel teaches yet are not caught by the the Chosen as one of the best depictions of the gospels that are so relatable. There is an intrinsic spirit of God revealing Himself like no other time in history.

The only "Christ" this show is bringing to the world is the counterfeit Christ that the real Jesus and Paul warned about.
The Chosen brings “humanity” to the Bible.
But the bible is all about "humanity"... When a fictional character's death is given more air time that a super important subject that Yashua was talking about, or another character gets hit with a rock and it is somehow more important than the ACTUAL real incident where Yashua upset the pharisees to the point of them wanting to stone HIM.
This is a huge problem.

Met many of the actors and especially Dallas.What a treat he was.This I will never forget, and the memories I will treasure. I grew up in a Christian family(Pentecostal) and have always known God but didn’t have a deep relationship with him. Prior to watching the chosen I was seeking God for myself and I can truly say on today he has shown himself in my life and has transformed me completely; not perfect but forever changed! This show has certainly without a doubt amplified my love for Jesus and scripture. I remember watching the very first episode of the chosen on RUclips back when there may have been only one episode and they were raising money and I was instantly drawn in bc I’ve never saw anything like it, how Mary’s story was depicted. Since then it’s become such a movement and I pray God continues to bless many lives through this series and that many more to come to know Jesus through this show in Jesus Yeshua’s name, Amen.

It’s not perfect but you can tell the whole team and actors like Jonathan take their roles very seriously I respect that. I agree with it uniting us Jews, Mormons, Catholics, evangelicals, and even non believers in a world trying to divide us it’s incredible seeing something bringing people of all backgrounds together. I always have appreciated that whenever Dallas talks about the show that he hopes and wants people watching to go to the Word.
It’s a revival of sorts it feels. It is a response to a nation starved to death by Pharisees and charlatans drowning in theology for theology’s sake, and worst of all: idolatry. The one thing I will always have the chosen to thanks for sending me to the Scriptures where the absolute truth is. I love watching the chosen because it brings the scriptures to life. I can see where people would make this an idol, but maybe the people who had oral traditions for years thought that writing was an idol. Hard to say. I will say this though: it’s a good show, but there is no replacement for scripture, and there is only one way to salvation: Jesus Christ.

I’m so unable to watch this series knowing how it ends…the awful treatment that Christ suffered. It breaks me and I don’t think I can watch it. I just feel sick thinking of the suffering he went through and as much as I want to watch, as many clips as I’ve seen,I just can’t.
He suffered, so you don't have to. On the cross, he took the punishment we deserve and paid a debt we could never pay. So that all that put their trust in him will have eternal life. When you stand before God in judgment and he looks at you, he will see his son, not your sin. In light of this as brutal as it was, he chose it willingly as the ultimate display of God's love for you. Had you been the only person to have ever lived, he would have still done it just for you alone, that is how valuable God sees you - have a blessed day

I figure if it pleased the Father then I will be pleased as well. Besides if you witnessed some of the greusome long drawn out torture of the great martyrs 3 hours on a cross after dragging up a hill with help is a walk in the park. Don't get me wrong I'm with Peter, I am not worthy to die the same death as my Lord. Crucify me upside down.
Yet if you still decide not to watch the passion portion remember only John witnessed it out of the disciples along with Jesus' mother Mary and the other two Marys.

The Chosen is a 21st century set of stained glass windows. While the learned read from the Bible and the people listened, they were also stairing at the life of Jesus and the bible through beautiful bright windows illuminated from the light outside during the day and by the light in the churches during the night. This series serves that same purpose.-Illuminating the stories through captivating images. Letting the light behind the images bring that life alive again in the minds of the faithful.

The joy, the laughter, the worship, the new friends. It’s so wonderful. What other TV series has this? To arrive in Orlando and see people everywhere in their Chosen merch - it just makes me grin. It says in James 3 (ESV)"..the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere.". The Chosen portrayed Jesus just like that, pure, gentle, open to reason, impartial and sincere. He showed his work in "the meekness of wisdom", just as described in the Bible. The best portrayal of Jesus ever, it brings Jesus our Messiah to life. Also the portrayal of the disciples and the other people who encountered Jesus in the Gospels is so believable. They each have their personalities and struggles. It makes their transformation, or not so much, more profound and relatable. Also love watching your channel, Brandon. Well done. Thank you!
Although I read the Gospels I thought of them as old or older men from the beginning and they had to be young to work hard as fisherman as well as other careers. The Chosen helped me see the deciles as young men and of course they got older as time went on.

I sometimes hate being this guy, but there is something about a ChosenCon that feels strange and not quite right. It feels a bit like worship and I don't mean worship for our Creator.
I hope people are actually going to the Bible to read for themselves, because guys, The Chosen is just a show and it is deeply flawed. PLEASE read about the actual Jesus.
I have a lot of reservations about The Chosen, but the biggest is taking creative liberties when writing additional dialogue from the mouth of Christ. We are not Jesus. Yes, we are created in His likeness, but we are not Him. We have more in common with the Devil than we do with Jesus, so how can we assume His words? Every Word He speaks is holy, and when we add to it, we are creating a false Christ.
How could it not be? Someone tell me.
I agree with your statement about reading the Bible and getting to know the real Jesus, but I disagree strongly when you say we have more in common with the d-vil than with God.
We are not perfect, yes, and we have difficulty reaching holiness, of course, but the pride the adversary has and the ev-l he does… we should never compare ourselves to that, plus, he only has one fate (Gen 3, 14-15; Rom 16, 20; Rev 20, 10); we have options. We are free to decide, he’s a slave to his arrogance and wants to take us with him. We can choose Jesus, and the most beautiful thing is: He wants us to! He chooses us, not because He needs us but because He wants us. ❤

The Chosen is such a blessing, the actors are Amazing and the production second to none! Got my dad ( 79 ) reading the Bible again also so I'm thankful. The making the Bible human rather than story is such a powerful way to bring the Gospel alive and again the Actors are so great at their craft and believable. A+++ No telling how many tears I've fought back, lol
What I love most about the Chosen is how it dares to show a human Jesus without becoming disrespectful. To a certain degree, it even avoids showing his divinity, for example by not showing the transfiguration (which I see as a sign of respect). His divinity mainly shows in his compassion and willingness to do the Father’s will. This has made me realise that when Jesus calls us to him, he also comes to us and walks with us instead of being distant and aloof. Mercy and grace have a whole new meaning to me now.

Perhaps the Lord is at work. Other films in mission efforts have been effective too. But, yes, this is another movement of God.
This is not a movement of God. The God of the Bible would not endorse or promote a show that actively promotes a long haired Jesus.

I love this, Brandon. Perfectly said!! Your cast interviews, were great!!! Thank you!!! The Chosen, has brought me closer to Jesus, and our Heavenly Father. I'm reading the Bible, with more clarity. Jesus loves us so much, and wants us to have a more intimate relationship with him. He wants us to, ' Stay with Him' , thru our tribulations, as he tells Thomas, in Season 4. (I love that scene)!!! ♥
Love the show. Growing to hate the worldly hype and intense marketing.
I am extremely disappointed Jesus' Baptism and Transfiguration, the only parts where the Father speaks aren't being done: being Catholic it's desecrating sacrilege the Bread of Life discourse is being excluded and dumbed down. Thomas having a concubine is scandalous.
However, all in almost all it is very well done. I'm just like the brat kid who didn't get a cherry on top of my delicious ice cream when all my siblings did. I'm going to enjoy my sundae despite my disappointment.

Thank you, Pastor Robbins! I actually found your channel via The Chosen. I was wondering what you were going to say here, but I knew that you would speak the truth and "give it to us straight". I have been quite encouraged by this video! I personally know someone who started watching The Chosen and she then started to pursue a personal relationship with Christ. Her daughter started watching and it has begun to heal their dysfunctional relationship. Calling it " a movement" is spot on! I grew up in the faith and have been a believer for decades. I know all of the Bible stories and have always studied the Word. I went to Israel with my husband in 2019. However, it wasn't until The Chosen and The Chosen Explained that I decided that I wanted to dig deeper. I planned another trip to Israel and was due to leave in late October 2023 😞 because I felt that the show made things come alive in a way that I had never experienced before. I wanted to know MORE and I felt that my first trip there had only scratched the surface. Now I'm reading books on ancient Israel and paying more attention to the cultural and historical context, and reading Bible studies that are more in-depth (my own personal "movement" of sorts 😄). Furthermore, that feeling of connection with complete strangers is so cool! My husband and I were in Alaska in August and we were touring the Yukon. I wore one of my Chosen T-shirts, not giving it a second thought as the day went on. The bus driver, a young college student, recognized my shirt! I'm sure for some people it's just the recognition of the show, but it opens doors to conversations that you wouldn't otherwise have had and helps Christians find each other. Like I said, it's so cool! I appreciate your channel and watch as often as I can. Have a good week 😊
I don't watch much tv and when I say much I mean very little. Nor do I attend Movie theaters. Have not for 20 years now. I don't do anything Hollywood. When I hear stories about how they made Christ out to having to remember His lines when He was preaching to the People just destroys the whole thing for me because you see I believe that Messiah Yahushua Ha'Mashiach doesn't need to practice his lines when He taught. He is God in the flesh, He wrote the TORAH, do you think that an author has to practice their lines ? Really ? So I'm not giving any credit for anything made for TV I'll keep to my Bible and God's Word and not any creations of men. Only YhWh is worthy of praise, not men.
Thank you Brandon for your channel. I'm not ashamed anymore to say The Chosen was the catalyst that drew me closer to knowing the Lord. I'm reading the Word, attending Bible studies in person and online, connecting with other believers, and praying for God to create in me a clean heart. I've always believed but did not know the truth of His promises. It would have been wonderful to go to ChosenCona nd meet so many beautiful people. Thank you for this. I appreciate your commentary. My husband and I have led 5 tours to Israel (he is a pastor) and he has reached out in a variety of ways to our local jewish synagogue over the last 15 years.
But this show is full of heresy, blasphemy and unscriptural teaching. It has Mormon teaching sprinkled in to it too. This show is cultic and is not of God. The lack of discernment shown here is astounding. I pray God will open your eyes and ears to the Truth.
Often a Bible text is very matter-of-fact and doesn't mention people's feelings much. As with any adaptation of a book or real life story, what isn't revealed in the original has to be imagined by the script writers.
It took me a very long time to find my Way. I was 65 when I was baptized. Unlike a lot of non-believers, I wasn't bitter or angry about a bad experience with Christianity. I simply have no imagination, and I think you need that to be able to imagine God, eternity, and all the things that come with faith. It was actually a movie, The Shack, that helped me finally find Jesus, and understand who He really was. Since then, I've been steadily learning, and growing in my faith. The Chosen has been a huge benefit for me. Lacking imagination, it was difficult to see the stories of the Bible in my mind. Now, I see all of them. They now make sense to me, so I'm very grateful to this show for giving me a visual reference to move forward in my understanding.
The Chosen is just unique!! It is truly an inspired production!! It brings people to Christ!! Is it perfect? Of course not… but it does not have to be for our Heavenly Father to use it to bring His Children to Christ. It being imperfect yet so powerful gives me hope that though I am imperfect I too can be useful to God and help others along to Christ.
This is one of the best Brandon Robbins videos I've seen. I can tell you took a turn and discovered a truth the Lord is sharing with all of us. This production (and new studio) is bigger than even those working on The Chosen can digest. I experienced a Christian at my flea market table, I told her about my RUclips channel I just started a little over a month ago. When I said, "I have an audio bible channel where I read the Bible and use pictures from The Chosen." she was almost irate. She returned with, "That show is hurting people, it is confusing them, making Jesus look like He had to rehearse his sermon and we may understand what is true and what is fiction but unbelievers don't, and adding to the Bible is wrong." It broke my heart. She and those who agree with her are missing out on the humanity of this very relatable show. The Holy Spirit is all over these episodes, and those who can't see that, are just sad. I pray for those in the Body of Christ who are too opinionated to allow God to get a Word in edgewise. Thanks, Brandon, I love your videos, and this one is my favorite!!
Wow, just wow! I have no other words to express how I feel about this video! Capturing so much of what is happening in the lives of so many people, this clearly and well-produced - and that in such a short video. That's ... wow!

At its core, it's true to the Bible, which I love. The acting is amazing. I can't wait for season 5
I’m a teacher and sometimes have religion classes for high school students. I love using The Chosen to illustrate things. Many of my students say they don’t believe in God. I show them parts of season 1 episode 8 with Jacob building the well. They watch transfixed as the actors say what they think. But shows God choosing them.
The Chosen has brought Christ back to the forefront of society. It makes people think about it in a way that is more personal. I agree that is more than a show, it’s a movement. I couldn’t be more happy about it!
The movement is becoming what God intended.

Eternal life is to know Him! For those of us who longed for that past just reading about Him and believing by faith? This has given us a bridge to really know Him.
See yourself in the Word of God and come to realize you are the chosen. Then go do the works you are chosen to do.
This show is ordained. So glad they are following God's prompting.
