The Vienna Sucession artists (esp. Klimt and Schiele), Diebenkorn and Matisse I would identify as his major influences outside of comics/illustration. I think he was also acutely aware of the Neo-Expressionism dominating eighties painting, which is to say, his fine art peers. But a lot of his stuff is truly unique, you can only look at it and go, welp that’s Sienkiewicz, he just digested such a broad range of styles and media so thoroughly that he became one of the few ‘post modern’ artists, in any form, to truly achieve originality. A fearless, colossal talent.
that @3:37 looks like Kyle MacLachlan.
twin peaks
It's 1984, Dune was out back then with MacLachlan, that's probably that. It also looks like Sienkiewicz himself.
Thanks for this. Ordered. I'd love to have more Artist Editions, but the artisans very welcome!

Look up Sergio Toppi, BILL SIENKIEWICZ took a lot from him for sure. Nice Review :) Personally I don't trust people who don't like BILL SIENKIEWICZ :D
Cool. Thanks for the compliment and the tip. Love looking stuff like that up.
@@MichaelFitzTroyTV Cheers :)
