It seems that what some of the commenters overlooked is that much of the German military music was banned in the US and England until fairly recently. Some of these marches are masterpieces and equal or superior to their English and American counterparts. Many of the composers were impressive composers in their other compositions as well. Thank you for publishing these works that have been neglected until now.
Nor in the United Kingdom. Don't know where you got your information, but some of our Regiments use pieces of music such as the Parachute Regiment which uses a variation of Nibelungen, but combines it with Wagner's Flight of the Valkyries.
They're not "banned", they're relatively unknown. With the US rich in its own marches, it is a challenge to introduce to them new ones. When did any US band played a French march? Or Italian?
