  • Insanity difficulty.
    My fav class - Adept gameplay.
    Fighting husks as adept is fun! Silly squadmates being scaredy-cats and making me fight the Praetorian alone though... until I died.
    Also using texmod with:
    optimized high resolution texture pack for squadmates
    high resolution textures for kasumi
    high resolution texture of femshep's default armor
    high resolution Normandy uniforms
    high resolution LotSB Liara
    And a few graphical/engine tweaks for sharper shadows, slightly less dark shadows, etc.

      Jacob is actually quite good if you're taking advantage of combos if you ask me. Barrier, Pull (to set up combos) and Squad Incindiary Ammo all on one guy? Actually awesome imo.
      I find he pairs best with Sentinel but is also good with Adept and to a lesser extent Vanguard.

      Hardest mission in the game ? Not even close.
      It's not even the hardest main story mission ( the hardest one being Mordin's loyalty mission, the part where we need to face many Krogans in the building. Oh man, these Krogans are no joke ! ) .
      One of the other hardest main story mission in the game has to be Freedom's Progress, because of that YMIR Mech.
      We're still pretty low lvl when we get there, so the powers aren't that good. We haven't been able to pick the guns we want neither so we have crappy stuff, on Insanity, this YMIR can be a real pain ( I got lucky during my run, cuz a bug happened, it got stucked and couldn't shoot at me, so I took it down easily, but yeah, that was all luck ) .
      Except for these 2, the rest of the main story missions are incredibly easy.
      Some of the side quests are much much harder than the main story ones. In particular, the ones involving YMIR Mechs, especially when playing as an Adept ( since Shep don't have any power to take down their shields, they can quickly become...... problematic ) .
      I've literally spent hours back then, to finish 2 of the side quests: the Eclipse Smuggling Depot, and the Blue Suns Base. Just mentioning them, even after all these years, still gives me shivers down my spine.
      But the main quests ( including recrutement and loyalty missions, except for the 2 mentionned at the beginning of my comment ) are very easy when playing as an Adept, even on Insanity difficulty. As long as we stay in cover as much as possible, spamming powers, and only shoot the gun occasionally, none of the main story missions are hard. I'm pretty sure the only main story mission I've died to was the Mordin's Loyalty one ( and died many times there ) , but other than that, pretty sure I didn't die a single time on any other main story / recrutement / loyalty , missions.
      The Adept class is probably the best class possible for an Insanity run, since many enemies of the main story missions only have Armor and Health bars. The Adept has Warp who is extremely helpful against them ( and so are Singularity and Throw ) . Few have a Barrier, but Warp is also helpful against them.
      Jacob is actually one of the best choices for main story missions. As he has Pull ( useful when ennemies only have their Health bar left ) and Incendiary Ammo ( helpful against their Armor, and it can benefit the whole crew when on Rank 4 ) , even though I prefer Mordin ( to have Incinerate, also very helpful against Armor ) over Jacob. But he's still a good and smart choice nonetheless .
      Miranda is a great choice in every situations. She has Warp for Armor and Barrier bar, Slam for Health bar, and Overload for Mech's Shield bar. She's very helpful in every situations, making her one of the best teammate possible in the game. But hey, she was designed to be perfect, so that makes sense. She wouldn't be perfect if there was situations where she would be useless.

    Not sure why you brought Jacob on this mission. During that first big platform fight (the one that gives fits to so many) Shepard and Miranda did almost all of the heavy lifting while Jacob sat in cover. Best play I've found there is to take Kasumi, and take STASIS as your bonus power. Stasis takes out that first Scion instantly, and Kasumi's flashbang grenade renders Harbinger silent and powerless. After that the fight becomes far more manageable.
    You did well for method and setup you chose though. The hard way, but very well done.

      @maynardburger Год назад +1

      @@JediNg135 That's super useful information, actually. The creeping forwards of the Harbinger is one of its most dangerous aspects. Being able to stop that could be critical. Things fall apart fast when you need to get away, especially with your teammates.

    • @Arasteele
      @Arasteele 11 месяцев назад

      @@maynardburger -- Singularity puts armored enemies slightly off-balance. It also does a small amount of damage, but it's greatest strength is it puts its biotic effect on them, and when you then hit them with warp it detonates doing area of effect damage.
      Kasumi's flashbang grenades are the better way to go for fights like this, though. Hit Harbinger with one and his powers shut down for nearly 40 seconds. Hit him with another grenade every so often and he's rendered utterly powerless for the entire fight.

    • @williambrulip512
      @williambrulip512 4 года назад +1

      I played it on X360 and PC so I guess I can help a bit.
      Depends if you're a keyboard+mouse player, or more of a controller player.
      If you're a keyboard+mouse player, then I guess the game is fine.
      But if you're a controller player ( like me ) then you should know ( just in case you don't know already ) that ME2 don't have native controller support. You'll need to use a mod to be able to play it with a controller.
      No worries, that mod is pretty easy to install. Even though I had some difficulties to actually make it work properly. Using the mod wouldn't let me load my save. The game was telling me that some DLCs needed to load the save were missing, despite the fact I own all of the DLCs and they were all installed. Took me 3 days to figure it out and make the mod work properly with the game. But hey, at least it ended up working just fine.
      Other than that, not really any differences compared to the X360 version.
      Well, except for the graphics who are a bit better on PC obviously. Also, it's only 30FPS on X360 vs 60FPS on PC, making the game run smoother and giving a better visual experience.
      But I think that's about it. Personally haven't noticed any other differences. So if there's any other differences, I've never seen nor heard of it.

    this is the game I most played in my life like crazy. I love the storyline and concept. I quit being a pro gammer in 2011. today I played Mass Effect 3 just to test AMD APU system I bought for work and an HD screen of 27" as I was curious about what AMD claim, about AMD, I was shocked, it was giving me 30FPS on 2K settings with AA on. to get 60 frames on ME2 back in 2008 I had to spend £2000. WoW this is shocking as I'm getting a console like performance from AMD without GFX dirt cheap! but on the other hand game disappointed me. game play like movement and action is same? did they changed it? or am I rusty?
