When you sin you don't sin against your lord. Allah swt or God forbid things for reasons to keep us from ruining our own souls. The things we do that Allah swt forbids doesn't do anything in the least to our lord. Allah swt warns us against it because it takes the soul out of what Allah swt created us to be. Allah swt test us with the created things in the dunya to mend the conductor of his servants. Either we can ascend to the highest point our lord created us to be or we can descend down to the lowest form of animal in creation. ALLAH SWT let us know that he doesn't need us to worship him,we are dependent upon Allah swt whereas ALLAH swt or God is dependent upon nothing.
