Florianopolis Santa Catarina Brazil - Mole Beach | 4K Walk

Praia Mole is an open sea beach in Florianópolis. It is located in the east of Santa Catarina Island, close to Lagoa da Conceição. With an extension of 960 meters, the sand strip has an average width of 10 to 75 m. It is widely used for surfing and extreme sports such as paragliding, due to its geographical conditions. Mole is famous for being one of the most natural beaches on the island, with few buildings around. Its name is due to the loose and soft sand.
It is one of the best known beaches in Floripa. There are bars all along the waterfront; some have live music. It is also a well-known LGBT hotspot. Due to its natural characteristics, Mole, like Joaquina, is home to surfing championship stages and other water sports.
