Information Security and Risk Management

Information security and risk management are closely related practices that are used to protect an organization's information assets.
Information security is a set of processes and technologies that are used to protect sensitive information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction. It includes a variety of measures such as access controls, encryption, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
Risk management, on the other hand, is the process of identifying, assessing, and prioritizing risks to an organization's information assets and then taking steps to mitigate or eliminate those risks. This process includes identifying potential threats, evaluating their likelihood and impact, and implementing controls to reduce or eliminate the risk.
